These images are of new GM Wagon which is likely to rival Eeco as per ACI. I am not sure of whether its going to fight Eeco or get posted one notch above eeco in the market.

The wagon looks tall in size and one size shorter than an Innova, but that is just my guess. Note the captain's seat behind the front row. I hope this wagon comes out as a serious rival to eeco which is doing good enough in the market. Pricing this wagon with a good diesel at around 5-6 lakhs can hit some hatchbacks IMO. I think GM has experienced overlap in the small car segment well enough as Spark which used to sell around 4K units is now sharing its sales share with Beat. So may be this Wagon will be placed just a bit higher than Beat.

So Maruti has some serious competition here too! Wonder if there will be a diesel in which case this will steamroll Eeco.

The shape is strikingly similar to Eeco. If they had not camouflaged the vehicle people might have mistaken it for Eeco and the car wouldn't have grabbed much attention

Do you really think so? I doubt. Until GM can stabilize its brand image and dealer network, its tough. Ha, missed the important point.

As you mentioned, it HAS to be diesel, else sorry GM.

This car looks good with space. But I wonder why there are gaps between rear seats (pre-production car?). Clean Dash but no arm rest on the front door. Can make it way for Taxis and Pickup Van for School children with some seat mods.

Wow another space to watch out for. Maruti is almost the only player in this segment. I think its high time it got some competition. Hope GM makes this a true VFM and a Diesel option too.

the front end of the beat suits more for a van but ,it looks like they have made the front end of this van a little gentle not as aggressive as beat,a combo of beat front end and fresh designing (like beat) would look wonderfull for such van imo

GM is talking to Piaggio to get the newly developed 2 Cylinder CRDI 1.2 Ltr engine. It is supposed to have abt 64 Bhp (I think)

MPV looks fantastic and nice catch aaggoswami, but the quality of the plastic in the dashboard, steering seems to be of very low quality (by looks though).

Chinese brother looks more practical, dashboard, steering and side arm rest setup looks like a furnished cockpit
