Hi, I hope its not OT, but i was searching for the name of the company that provides professional check up for used cars. I remember reading it on T-BHP, however, not able to find.

Even if you consider its a Bangalore used car market, I think the cars are a bit over priced. The price for a 2006 Model 50k done Innova should be about 7-7.5L.

What should be the price of the above car in Kolkata ?

• Odo - 38000 KM (too much for a 2 yr old car I guess)
• Car is driven by a driver.
• No extra accessories at all (Music system, even a basic one is absent, no leather seats etc)
• Everything stock (tyres etc)
• Tax paid till 2013, I have to pay 25K (5yrs road tax) again in mid-2013
• Service history is available, yet to see it though. How often should this one be ideally serviced (per 5K KMs ?) ?
• Consider low resale value of Ikon here (I heard one 2005 dec, <30K km go for 1.5L)

Also, any tips/advice about what I should look for while inspecting this car. Huge odo-reading is making me suspicious.

IMO if you have decided to buy this itself then not more than 2L-2.1L+/- another 10K max you can give. All this keeping in mind that you have to change the tyres may be after another 4K kms and some unseen repairs. All the best

Guys, am urgently looking for a Getz in Bangalore for maximum 3 lakhs.

Should be preferably less than 25k mileage and single owner. I have found many examples at dealers but with mostly 40k+ mileage and priced at 2.9+ lakhs which seems to be too much to pay considering the mileage.

Any ideas where to look? Any help will be deeply appreciated!

Guys, what do you'll think is a good price for a Nov 2004 Zen Lxi from Maruti True Value in Pune? The car has run 55k and looks to be maintained well. AC cooled very well, clutch plates were totally gone (Lady driven !) and will be replaced. The tyres are all new (all 5). Its a red car and the bonnet was faded really badly. They will be repainting the bonnet, front fenders,front and rear bumpers and removing all other small dents.
I get the 1 year warranty and 3 free services. He's giving me insurance (maruti comprehensive) for one year as well. I am paying 1.9.. Is it a decent deal ?.. since from what i have seen, Zen's have great resale value.

There are lots of websites which have info on used car. Just google it.
IMO the price would have been near 1.6-1.7L. But since they are giving lots of other things also like 1 year warranty, 3 free service, free insurance, bonnet change and other small repair works done by them, the price seems to be ok.

1) Hyundai Accent CRDI (white): Dec-2005 make, 61000kms, Single Owner, New art leather Seat covers, Exteriors and Interiors Ok, Sony HU with 4 speakers fitted. Bridgestone tyres with half thread left. Final Quote 3.20 Lacs

2) Old Honda City VTEC (golden): 2002 make, 58000kms, 2 Owners, New Seat Covers, Exteriors with some paint touchups, Pioneer HY with 4 speakers and Sony amp and subwoofer. Hankook tyres in Front & Falken Tyres in back. Final Quote 2.30 Lacs

^^ Its a no-brainer. Go for the V-Tec. It would save you 90k and put a huge grin on your face whenever take it for a spin. It is also better accessorized and the crdi mill is not much reliable above 80k. The 3 year difference benefit is nullified by Honda's reliability.

Since you have mentioned the car is mint condition. You can expect something around 9.5-10 L. Check with the local mechanic for hands on Valuation.
