Asking price seems to 8.75 lkhs.
Carwale used car valuation is 5.65 till 7.74 in Chennai.

Any realistic price suggestion to qoute?
Yet to contact the seller and look into the condition of the car.
Linea driven 20K kms in 6 months and he's expecting more than retail price of a new car ? Is he crazy, or is it 2K kms on the odo?

What can be the asking price of a Swift VDI @ 35K kms in 2.5 years. Car has been regularly serviced as well as oil changes have been done once every 5K kms. There are usual dings and front bumper blemishes. Overall the car looks good, drives great at all gears and no unusual sounds. Maintained by one person and the interiors doesnt look abused or dirty.

what could be a good asking price?

If its a 2008 vehicle try negotiating upto 3.75-3.8 lacs . Any price below 4 lacs should be a good bargain.

What should be the reasonable expected price of a Jan 2005 made white Santro Xing XG with 131k km on odo? It's regd in Delhi but used by my dad in Punjab. Always serviced on time, all fluids, filters, belts etc changed as per Hyundai schedule. Maintained very well, driven very sedately. No dents etc, just minor scratches (very few). No accidents, no insurance claim in 6 years.

Never had to change anything on the car except clutch and battery (both at 122k km). That should give a clue of how well it's maintained/ driven!

Thanks

re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread. (Online tool : Page 1)

Guys need urgent help to decide between the two ->

Option 1 - Silver civic - 1.8S AT - 34k done (genuine) - already second owner - 6.5L (before negotiations)

Option 2 - Light Blue civic - 1.8S MT - 51k done (genuine) - first owner - 6.4L

Both 2007

I am sold on the auto for its ease of driving - but the second owner thing is a kind of a red flag - Is it just a mental barrier ? ( Since I plan to keep the car 2-3 years ) and get CNG fitted in it.

I am also getting a 2008 - CNG fitted - 51k done - manual for 6.6L - but again second owner.

Please help decide since want to finalize it tomorrow- Your opinion please.

If all the paperwork is right and the car has been serviced at the authorised centres (have a look at the service booklet) then i will say go for option no 1.
Genuine 34k in almost 3+ years translates to almost 10 k every year.
being 2nd hand already wouldnt even hamper the resale value as the car has already taken a major depriciation hit.
Bargain and if you get it for 6 something say 6.25 nothing like it as a new one would be coating around 15 something ex showroom.

re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread. (Online tool : Page 1)

two questions -

1 - two years down the line ( 3 maybe ?) will the ownership serial be a big deterrent towards selling this car ?

2 - what all to check for in the auto tranny ? or is the service center my best bet ?

1. Hondas do command a certain respect as far as the used car market is concerned.
2. I have never heard of any gearbox related issues except for one in CR-V. Automatic gearboxes are best checked at the authorised service centres.

My point being that should I wait (keep searching ?) for an auto box with single owner or do I go ahead with the second owner car ?

A Quick query to all,

How much would be the market value of a 2005 Chevy Optra LS which has run 40K kms?

Body is in fine nick and the engine is in good state too.

Only problem is with the gear lever which has a lot of play.

The play is because the Linkage kit bushes have worn out. Its not something to worry about at all.
