OT: During entire 3 years and 9 months of my ownership of Santro there was " Not a single puncture"
Brought my santro XO on July 2006, ran 33k and sold it for 3.05L. the dealers for this were asking for 2.8L- I also found that those same dealers were selling 2005 model for 3L- so i feel the buyer got a geniune scratchles/accident free vehicle at good price and not to mention with Sony XPLOD.

never buy something from someone you instinctively dont trust - you literally caught him red-handed on the odo reading
who knows what else he may have fudged
such a chap's word is NOT to be trusted according to me
be careful and dont lose out big time because it looks like a good deal right now. dont be in a hurry because you've built up your "desire" and now want to own a car of this kind - there are plenty of fish in the sea, as they say so it is better to distance yourself for a moment and think it through before you put your cash down -and I wish you the best of luck in your Skoda search!

1. SKODA RIDER 1.9 TDI - 67000 Kms, 2004 Model - 6.5 Lacs (i know it is expensive)
2. SKODA RIDER 1.9 TDI - 68000 Kms, 2004 Nov Model - 6.25 Lacs

I dont understand the variation in 2 cars of same year and almost same reading. Well the 2nd car now shows 36000 on the ODO. I caught him red handed. He is willing to give the full Service Record alongwith a Checkup at the A.S.S.

What do you guys recommend??

Hey, gemi
Did you check the auto-classifieds in today's Manorama? I saw an s10(sachin edition) with 29K on the odo. Don't remember more details, but the vehicle is delhi reg. It seemed too cheap to be true anyhow.
Don't know about any 1.2...

Need your opinion on a 2005 TATA Indigo Marina LX in Pune

Hello,

I am being informed of a :

Pune registered (MH 12),
single owner,
stock 2005 TATA Indigo Marina LX with 15,900km on the clock, and
Aura alloys (fitted by the dealer - B U Bhandari - when vehicle was delivered new).

No music system is fitted.

The car is Sunrise Pearl.

Owner is selling the car because his wife (the main user) is retired now, and the couple has 2 cars - the other being a New Honda City.

Per Carwale.com, if the car is in good condition, it should fetch 3.7L.

Was wondering what other Indigo Marina owners think.

As I am Mumbai based (but have a Pune address as well), what would it take to register the car in Mumbai, and how much will it set me back ?

Cheers,

FourWheelDrift

wanderernomad, greenhorn and JayD : thanks for responding.

Yes, the vehicle is a diesel.

The guy selling is a friend of a friend. He's looking for a quote from me.

Would much appreciate any advice you gents can offer, on the price front as also on the registration transfer (from Pune registration to Mumbai).

Cheers,

Yes, LX is Diesel. GLS & GLX are Petrol.

------

2005 LX. Is it TDi?
If I am not wrong TDi was launched in that year. If it's TDi, it will command higher price.

I had Indica V2 Lxi 2001 and Indigo GLS 2005. Now have Indigo XL Dicor 2008. One month back I sold 2005 GLS for 2.45 lacs including 50K accessories. Petrol commands poor resale .

But again Marina has slight lesser resale value than Indigo Sedan(for both, petrol or diesel). Rs. 3.7 Lacs without ICE etc. for Marina seems a bit high for me, even if it is TDi engine. Try negotiating, it's good car. Was my second choice after XL.

Edit: The facelifted Marina LX Ex-showroom is 5.49 Lacs in Pune.

Hi All,

A friend of mine is selling his 3 month old Wagon R Vxi. Has some 15K worth of accessories including a Sony (USB playable). Done about 150 kms. What would be an ideal market value. Its a Bangalore car.

Thanks

2005 Ikon 1.6 ZXI - Is 2.79 L a good price??

I am looking for a car in Bangalore for the current year as I just need mobility (and of course weekend drives exploring the lovely countryside). I probably will buy a new car/SUV next year.

Can I go ahead with the following used car? It just came up on the intranet this evening and I shall take a test drive over the weekend. The driver/owner seems to be a lady.

-------------------------------------------
Ford Ikon ZXI - 1.6 Nxt

Year - 2005
Km - approx 30k
Silver color
CD player
Alloy wheels
Fully loaded
Comprehensive insurance - till mar 2009
Extended warranty for a year
Accident Free - some scratches on left rear door.
Single owner

Expected - 2.79 L
--------------------------------------------

Will it be possible to maintain a low-odo 1.6 in Bangalore without having to part with huge sums? And if I have to take a mechanic along, where can I get hold of (a good) one?

BH.

For pricing, pls check in this link. New Cars, Used Cars, Buy Cars, Sell Cars, New Car Prices, Used Car Prices - CarWale.com India.

IMO, 2.79L is a good price for a 2005 1.6 Nxt. The FE would be arund 8 kmpl in city and around 12~14 kmpl on highway. Be prepared to pay for some extra bit (compared to Maruti) for spares.
