The only way of checking the genuine mileage of the car - See the registration number of the car. Call up the nearest service station of that area. Tell them that you want to get that car serviced, please tell me when its due and when was it done last. You might get an idea that ways. Other than that, get it checked by a mechanic
Hey Eddy, Excellent thought.

A sure way to check the millage history.

I think this post will help many buyers of used cars.

Santro any day. Solid built (Zen-well its a maruti) / almost zero maintenance / Cheap spares.

If you increase your budget a bit than OHC / Accent / Baleno, the most preferred used car for smart buyers.

I too sold my Siena, about 2 years ago. I think was around 2007 end. Mine was 2001/2002. Didnt have alloy wheels, but was sold for about 75-80k (something around that). Think you should push for a lower price. But spares will be a problem, think about that before making the purchase.

Yes. Tata does service of Siena, even Uno for that matter. I have seen both these models being serviced at TATA dealership here in Pune.

Is a 2005 Hyundai Verna a good buy at 3.3L? Its a topend GLS model with leather upholstery. And will service and spares be a problem considering that its out of production?

Ha ha ha... you are a confused guy!!!

Please give more details on the car. Mileage, condition, number of owners, tyre condition, reason for sale, etc before anyone can advice you further.
I don't think spares should be a problem though.

Hehe yes indeed.
About the car, it has done around 47K kms. It looks well maintained with complete service records and dent free exterior with only minor scratches. Its a first owner car and the tyres have been changed once in mid 2007. The reason for sale according to the seller is that he wants to buy an MUV for some reason. Other than that I am impressed with the features that it provides and generally I've come across 04-05 Elantras in dealerships priced at around 4 to 4.5L, so i thought this was a pretty good deal. Im looking to own a trouble free car for around 3-4 years before I buy a new vehicle. Is this a good choice? And what price would i get if i sell it in 3 or 4 years?
