What would be a good price for a single owner 2005 Esteem Lxi in Bangalore? The car is single owner with 70000km on the odo. New tyres and battery and in good condition.

2005 esteems sell between 1.6 to 1.8 lakhs. In bangalore i have even seem prices go upto two lakhs depending on the condition of the car. The difference between lxi amd vxi is usually fifteen thousand.. you may need to wait a little but i would say you should get a good price since people who know the esteem will pay a good price for it

Thanks Varun. I spoke to Desmo & Karizma92 from Bangalore. Even shortlisted a vehicle and will hopefully pick it up by Wednesday. Appreciate your help

Good luck.
went to the fiat A.S.S. in Hyderabad. i bet it is the smallest service center in hyderabad. and there's only for the whole AP i think.

Anyways, no service history found, fiat recommends second service at 15k kilometer, and since the it was only around 14k when i bought it, no service. everything u mentioned to check were top notch except one tire.

I bought the car though. and i think why it was up for so cheap. the mileage is just OMG. i have owned a baleno and I know what bad mileage means. however this wasnt a issue because i got the car for less than 4L and i can get it CNGed.

thanks for your help.

Cant we have a tab on prices people here quote on tbhp classified section.
Ads are approved by Moderators,so in my opinion, ads with absurd pricing should go through price correction or not get approved at all.
How does one justify a price tag of 6.5L for a 8 year old Gypsy

Congratulations for your new ride. What kind of mileage are we talking here, any ballpark figure for a better understanding welcome.

Hello Akshay,
I don't think the mods will interfere here. And how much a seller quotes is his choice. Some people think that thier car is worth it's weight in gold(or onions) Just hoping that reality strikes them hard!!!

Varun

And ya obviously with Cng. The car was awesome and was a joy to drive, I still miss her.
Thanks nmo,sameerg001.

I also have a Ford Fusion 1.6 petrol – 2005, 51000 km, Single owner, Battery replaced, new windshield, replaced shock absorbers.
As per reviews the hydraulic steering had some problem with the 2005 version? Not sure. How much should this car be worth?

I would expect the range to be between Rs 1.75 - 2.25 depending on the condition of the car. I could be wrong, though.

Thanks nmo, again!

If I can get a few more opinions, I would be very thankful. This is the list of cars that I have on my short-list currently -

1. Chevrolet Optra 1.6 (2005 model) petrol - 45000 km, 2nd owner, has the car since 5 years, 1st owner was an individual, not a broker. Cars condition is fair, would need to change the Gear Shift cover, rear-view mirror etc - quoted
2.5 lakhs - yet to negotiate

2. Chevrolet Optra 1.6 (June 2004 model) petrol - 56,800000 km, 2nd owner, Cars condition is good. Quoted 2.25 lakhs - yet to negotiate

3. Fiat Petra ELX 1.6 (2005 model) - 40,000 km, 1st owner. Car is in good condition. Asking 1.5 lakhs. Yet to negotiate

4. Mitsubishi Lancer - 2003 model - 50000 km, 2nd owner - 1.6 lakhs (Last price)

5. Baleno - 2005 model - 63000 - 3rd owner - 2.5 lakhs (Yet to negotiate)

6. Baleno Vxi – 2006 model – 53000 km – 2nd owner – 2.25 lakhs – Good condition

7. Ford Fusion 1.6 petrol – 2005, 51000 km, Single owner, Battery replaced, new windshield, replaced shock absorbers.Wants me to see the car. Pictures look good. Will the mileage of 2005 Fusion go above 10kmpl in City?

I would go for option number 6. Reason: others would be too heavy on my pocket.
