Please find a mechanic you trust and/or that other bhpians in your city recommend. Have him apparaise the car, get a service history for the car from toyota. Then commit.

Why don't you get it evaluated from the nearest Toyota dealer? If not that it would best you take a mechanic with you to check it out. Btw attached is the price of clutch plates from Toyota. Other parts plus labor shouldn't cost you more than 20k.

Is it a good idea to buy TD Vehicle? If yes, then what should be the pricing compared to buying from Individuals. What kind of registration is done to TD Vehicles? Do they come with the same White Board Number Plate? And under whose names are these Cars registered?

I have found a Honda City S-MT, registered in Aug 2012 done about 20000 Kms.

What should be the fair price for this car? Looks well maintained inside out except few minor scratches on rear bumber which he promised to take care.

Dealer initially quoted 6.25L, had come down to 6.

It's decent but you might get 2014 SV for 7.5 which imho would be a much better investment!

Insurance is expired.

Option 2: Alto VXi
Month of Registration: October 2010
Mileage: 47,270 kms
Price: 2,20,000
Insurance is expired.

Option 3: Zen Estilo LXi
Month of Registration: June 2010
Mileage: 41,367 kms
Price: 2,35,000
Insurance is active till June 2017.

Which option seems better? The purpose of the car is just to allow my wife and my sister to practice their driving skills.

Alto will be way easier to sell whenever you decide to. So recommending the Alto. However, i dont know if the prices you have got are right....

Shortlisted a Swift Vdi ABS without airbags, following are the details-

Model - Feb 2015
Odo - 22000kms (Genuine, verified at MASS)
Cartrade Certified with Minor denting/painting done.
Dealer Quote:6.9L
Final Quote after negotiations:5.9(including brokerage)

Please advice, if it is it worth 5.9L? OTR price of a new Swift Vdi is 8L. The pricing is nearly consistent with all online evaluation tools except IndianBlueBook.

I would suggest option 1. Even you could have some fun when you take the k10 for a spin. However, you would have to check if the odometer reading is genuine.
Since Alto's have a stellar resale, getting >2011 model k10 for <1.7L is highly unlikely.

What is the reference price for a well maintained last batch Laura TSI (2012 - 2013) in Delhi with odo less than 50K and clean body lines? Could see prices around 4L in OLX. Actually trying to figure out if getting a car from Delhi and re-registering in Kerala makes sense since TSIs aren't common here.

Add to your car cost -

1. Transporting the vehicle from Delhi to Kerala (unless you want to spend some days and fuel to drive it down yourself)

2. Re-registration of the car in Kerala together with paying life tax on it pro rata based on vehicle age.

3. If you wish then - run pillar to post between the Delhi and Kerala RTOs for a few months in order to claim a refund of the lifetime tax paid at the time of the vehicle's registration in Delhi.

Want to sell:
SX4 ZXi in fair condition, 2011 manufactures 2012 registered. Stock tyres about 40K on odo.

Want to buy:
Pre owned Ecosport AT, preferably in the age band that would allow me to purchase extended warranty though not a must.

How much to expect for both the above.
Few additional queries are

- Are there any dealers that do part exchange in Mumbai / Pune?
- What to check specifically in a pre owned Ecosport AT?
- What can be cost of TCM replacement in an ecosport just to explore if it
is worthwhile buying new ( car expected to remain idle for few months
a year)
- Are the older models of ecosport better equipped than the newer ones?

I am evaluating whether to sell my Renault Duster since we have other cars at home. Please let me know of a likely price?

Details are:
- Mfg in Dec 2014, registered in Jan 2015
- 85 PS RXL (Option Pack) in Brown colour. This has airbags, ABS and Medianav system etc.
- MH02 registration
- Done 9,800 Km only. All self driven
- Car is in immaculate condition

I have checked on some of the online sites. There is a very wide variation in prices provided.
