I say 5. What says guys ?
The dealer is absolutely right. AFAIK and IMO ford doesn't relish a good resale value. For the spec you have given it might be in the range of 4L-4.2L if the odo is around 25-30K kms and if it is in mint codition you can give a premium of another 10-15k max.

If that is the case 4.5 L it is a good deal go for it. No one will give 5L for 1.4 ZXi. Even 1.6ZXI would fetch about 4.5L at max.
Yes, it is sub 10K kms. I thought that was a big USP. So I mentioned 5L.
But, point taken. Dhanyawaad!

Hmm. So 4.5 Max it is. Ok. Thanks Shishir. Sad really. It is a gem of a car and being treated this way is injustice.

4.2-4.3L Max. Not even 4.5. If you are bent upon to take that and if you feel that you will never get a car in that condition further ahead in your search then go ahead and pay 4.5L max or else just give me a treat for the amount which is less than 4.5L you have spent on the car.

Indigo LS 2005/7

What would be a fair price for a Bangalore registered (2005/7),single owner, well maintained, Indigo LS TDi,37000 kms with complete service records.
The car comes with a Blaupunkt system + autoCop.
Carwale valuation is in the range Rs 2,39,000 to Rs 2,29,000.
The asking price is Rs 2,93,000.
Thanks for your suggestions!

citron, even as per the street it is around 2.3-2.4L. But IMO it is maintained well and if you know the person then another 10K max you can give. But until you drive the car and have a feel, no one can say what the price is.

IMO you can get aroun 80k-1L if you are lucky to pass it to an individual. But these dealers and true valu guys will kill on the price and will quote more than 20K less to what i have told. But max 90K if you get then you can pass it off.

For Santro AT 2004/5 IMO if you are lucky then you can get it at around 2-2.2L and max another 10K if it in mint condition.

We always seem to think that cars like a Honda City etc hold up pretty well in the used market - well my friend received a max offer of 3.75 lac for his Honda City Exi - 2005 Model. Silver. Mint condition, Scratchless. Done 37000km. the potential buyers are refusing to go up to even 4 lacs for such a good car.

AFAIK and AFA I am running behind used cars, I can say that Maruti's and to some extent Hyundai are having a good resale value. But it also depends on many many factors.
