The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

One of my relative is searching for an used hatchback. And he has come across a 2005 Opel Corsa Sail 1.4.

- Single owner
- 26000 km
- Authorized service center maintained car.(The owner has the service records too)
- He is asking 1.5 Lakhs.

He is damn interested in buying the Opel Corsa Sail. So, will it be a good deal considering the fact that Opel has discontinued the model? Will maintenance be expensive? And what about the spares?

PS : Personally, I'm making him stay away from Opel Corsa.

Inputs please.

You will have a hard time. Spares are hardly available. Don't let him buy it whatever condition it is in.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply Googleman.Even one of my friend told me that the parts will be available with the GM Motors , but he said that it'll take ages to get it sourced from Opel.

Most probably, he'll be staying away from that car!

My friend who is in search of a used-hatchback has come across a used Chevrolet Spark in Ernakulam, Kerala.

- 2009 Model.
- 27000 km.
- Doctor Owned.
- Company Maintained.
- Full Option (But No ABS & Airbags)

He is asking for 2.8 lakhs. So, please tell me - Whether it's worth going for it?

slightly OT, how does Doctor owned make any difference to the resale value of the car? haha..

Klub_class 2.8L is high, try to bargain for 2.4-2.5L. Get the service records before closing the deal.

MutantX, You're pretty fast in giving inputs

Aah, there is a popular belief that Doctors maintain their cars pretty well! So, I guess that's a good reason why I've mentioned that the car is a doctor owned one.

Coming back to topic, let me try whether I can bring down the price to that levels

Check if this is the only car the owner has. If yes, only 51K Kms in 10 years is not practical.

80k if the car is really well maintained.its a 9+year old accent after all.

Used i20 Asta, 23000 Kms run. Single Owner. Hyundai certified car with one year warranty from Hyundai. Is it worth? The car is in excellent conditon wth leather seat covers. Cost quoted 5.45 L.

Also used Gets 1.3 Top model run 49000 Kms. Price quouted 2.45 L.

Please let me have your input on the pricing.

Hello Guys,

Really don't know how much i should expect from my 2004 Palio 1.9D ELX, done only 30K. Yes only 30K. Very well maintained. Gives Avg of 17-18 On highways and 12-13 in City (with AC). Accident free, 98% of the time used only for Mumbai-Pune-mumbai commute.

Everything still stock condition, even tyres are the one which came with the car.

Second owner, Couple of years back got her transferred on my name from my company's name. Car has been driven single handedly.

really appreciate your help.
