^^
Both prices are high, atleast to the tune of 50k each.
But am sure those would be negotiable prices since it is quoted directly from Hyundai.

Normally, cars depreciate at around 20% every year and obviously the first year being the highest ! So, if the car is early 2009, take off around 30% from the price of a new one. If it is late 2009, then the reading of 27K is a little too high for my liking, check thoroughly. Also, resale price is a little more less in coastal areas like Ernakulam.

Thanks for the inputs. I am looking to sell the car, not to buy it. The running is a genuine 51K Km. I spent five years of those nine years in Pune living 1.5 Km from my office. The car is meticulously maintained but the body (Bumpers really) has the usual Delhi traffic effects. I sold my 13 year old Maruti 800 DLX (1996 Apr buy) in Jun 2009 for Rs 40,000 when I was moving to Delhi. May I request some more realistic estimates please. Thanks

I'm toking Delhi prices.Cars depreciate maximum in Delhi. Its highly unlikely that a 10 year old Accent will fetch anything more than 80k-1.0l in Delhi considering that a new one costs around 5.2 OTR.Hope you see my point bro.Its not bangalore we're talking about.

I would say anything between 1.1 and 1.3L depending on the car condition,

Understood sir, but this is an Accent, although 10 years old, but yes, you can expect around 1.2L

Also used Gets 1.3 Top model run 49000 Kms. Price quouted 2.45 L.

Please let me have your input on the pricing.
The dealer has quoted the final price for Getz as 2.25 L. Is that fair price? he is not going to reduce it any further. Also I will be using this car may be for a year or so before I buy a new car next year. Please let me have your views..

2006 Corolla H2(family owned)

Hey guys,

I have the opportunity to buy my Uncle's 2006 H2 Corolla(HR26). The car is 43k old and we just put in a new set of tyres. The car is very well maintained and has all service records(in fact I have the originals with me since I took care of the maintenance). I have also driven it extensively and the only expense it requires is a round of professional interior cleaning.

The reason I am asking here is so that I give him a fair price since he has left the price decision to me. Carwale.com suggests 5.15 if the car is in excellent condition and it is!! Do you guys think its a fair price or should it be higher?

I don't want to short change him compared to if he was selling in the open market.

Thanks

Banarsi, Where is the car and where is it registered from? Frankly speaking, you will have a hard time selling a 2001 make car. How much are you expecting out of it? I suggest you keep it as a 2nd car because if it has really been maintained and you know it is in good condition, why do you want to sell it for such a low price? The car is awesome and you should keep it really..

Palio 2004 - Maintenance really doesn't matter much because this car has really low resale value.

Price you can expect is within 1.2L - 1.4L (if you are able to sell it). I am quoting Mumbai prices, don't know where your car is right now.

My neighbour is selling his Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI Rider. He is leaving the coutnry. It is a 2007 November Model MT 26000km. He has quoted Rs.8 Lacs. What do you think about this deal?

The car has a few minor scratches. Otherwise i know the history and it is a well maintained car.

The asking price is high for a 3 yr old car.
I'd say no more than 7 L.

In the first place, I'd not think about such a vehicle with so many existing faults, which the owner is not caring to fix up.

Its a nearly 10 yr old car and its maintenance / parts may not be that easy to handle - esp being an Import.

Ask the person to take care of all of the above headache and then start looking at valuation.

The price is difficult to judge again, but on second thoughts even that looks inflated.
