One might as well deposit the money into local MLA's account, because in both cases you are never going to see any out come of it, neither will be you ever be able to contact the person again!

Please beware of such frauds online. A lots of these are out, some sell Huskies and some sell cars and the buyer buys bullc.

If I was one of these crook and managed to get hold of a pray, I would send a Lemon after receiving the payment

^^ I'd say 4.75 is what one could expect given today's anti-petrol sentiments

Please check if it comes with the engine or without.

PS: Some one was asking opinion about the i10. Since it is 3/4 years old, I would say it should be at least 30-40% marked down from the OTR price of the current one. I'll do detailed math later, I am in a rush.

My take would be between 4-4.5 max. Towards 4 a good deal for the buyer.

You can try Carwale.com used car valuation for any car valuation. It will give you a fair idea of the price. Most of T-Bhpians will check and quote for you from there only, so why not you try it out yourself. If you get offers less than carwale indicative price then just go for it.

Here's the response from the quoted email I d :

2010 BMW X6 xDrive 30d

First I want to thank you for question about the car.The car is in perfect condition, with no scratches on it, no damage. It has all the papers and documents and I am also the first owner.Has 18,000 Kms,6 Cylinder, 3.0L Diesel. As a woman I don't know to much about cars so I apologies in advance for my lack of knowledge regarding the car. The price is 958,000.00 INR (13900 EURO) including the shipping to your address,THIS IS ALL THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY TO OWN THE CAR.The car is registered in India (so you will have no problems with the registration papers and fees) on my name and address but currently I am located in Madrid,Spain because I just finished the divorce with my husband and I have moved here to my parents home. The payment will be made through eBay and only after you will receive the car, I will receive the payment.

If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay. I will wait your answer(if you are interested to buy) very soon.

Thank you

Yolanda Carragher

This is the most creative (or straight forward) excuse one have ever heard for not passing the information about the car.

Though carwale is a good beginning, it's not the best place to go for quotes. Most of carwale's valuations are based on what sellers have sold their cars for or the quotes it collects on its website. And in most cases, the quotes are by brokers who inflate the price before posting because they know the buyer will negotiate it down.

This is true.

By e-bay, she meant payment through paisapay, which holds your money with "paisapay" until you confirm that the moolah should be transferred to the seller. 100% safe but 10 lakhs is enough money to make the person handling your case currupt.

I suggest, you give it a try. As in, ask her if she has relatives/friends in India who can make the deal on her behalf. Ask her to send the car and make the payment to relative/friend after you receive the "scratch-less" car.

You can ask her to send pictures of the car in Spain, and registration number. Find out about the car with the registration number as she would have ofcourse taken an NOC before taking it to Spain.

On the other hand - Poor husband who let go both the car and rich wife

i10 Kappa 1.2 (Magna)
Nov-2008
12,700kms
Stock, No additions
Excellent condition

How much can I expect for it? I am thinking of quoting 3.40 Lakhs?
I normally refer carwale.com. But off late i am observing a huge increase in the selling value. The following are some of the quotes given by various websites:-

1)carsalesindia.com----- Car Value | Used Car Value | Car Price | Used Car Price | Car Prices India ------Rs.295,700

2)infibeam.com--- Rs.307,500

3)carwale.com---Rs.337,500.

You can consider a price band of 310,000-330,000.

Nice to see a very lively, but good natured, banter, being exchanged here.

It is indicative of the high morale of the members. Well done, guys.

Now, can anyone who has bought/tried to buy a used car in Chennai list out a few dealers for me. I am looking for a used CRV. Any referrels or suggestions or guidance will be most welcome.

What would the price for a 2007 Fiat Palio Stile Sports 1.6 be used about 58k kms.
How much should i pay given the less demand for the car because of the petrol prices?
