Engine capacity is given as 1948 cc and 92BHP. Diesel.
Class : LMV. Body Type : Saloon?
Seating Capacity : 11

So, is this not a Xenon??

Meanwhile any details you could share would be a great help.

The vehicle has power steering and A/C only. No power windows. No stereo.
Has run a genuine 40000 Kms only.

Is this particular engine still in production? Would it be difficult to source spares for this car?

No sir, it is not a Xenon.

I don't know much about TL or the engine doing duty in it, but a quick search shows that Tata Winger, Sumo etc have/had this engine. So parts shouldn't be too difficult to source. But then, knowing Tata, you can't have any assurance either!

They are asking 1.5L for the Pajero. As is where is condition.
Yes, it is a Goa registration.
It was an import from Dubai in 1996. Automatic.
I will have to check on the Kms run but at least 50,000.
The problem is that the original documents have been lost.
Car has not been used for last couple of years. Just got it running once - last November - after which the owner was hospitalised.
Both ORVM's are broken.
This vehicle requires 2 batteries. Presently has only one.
Also requires a new alternator belt which was not available in Goa.
The A/C is also not working.

Original documents are lost so how can you even transfer the vehicle to your name?

The owner needs to file an NC register entry at the police station reporting loss of RC and get a new RC from the rto and he can then proceed with the sale

Hi Hserus,

Police complaint was filed at the time - almost a year and a half ago. Sadly the owner did not follow up but his wife is doing so now.
Address change also has to be done so it's going to take some time.

Hi Bhpians, while my search for a good used SUV continues, I have come across an almost new looking 2014 Innova VX. It has clocked only 23K KM in 2 years and the local used car dealer is claiming it to be accident free and says that no major repair has been carried out so far. I called up Lakozy and Madhuban Toyota in Mumbai to help me with the vehicle servoce history but they have refused saying it is not permitted by the company. Now, if anyone can help me with a good connection in Toyata service centres, where I can get to see the vehicle service history it would help me to finalize thia car. Thanks in advance

Advise you to go to the nearest Toyota service center and meet and request for the details. It worked for me. Details are not given over the phone

Thank you, I was requesting an appointment itself to get the details. I was aware they would not share the details over phone. But even that did not work out.

I am in the market for a used car, a Toyota petrol sedan being favoured the most. My friendly used car dealer has a 2011 top end petrol Altis, run 92000 kilometres till date. It is offered at 3.75 lac. I asked him if I can get the car thoroughly checked by Toyota. He said that he can share the registeration details with me. Accordingly he gave me the R.C. Number and name of the owner. I contacted our city's Toyota dealer and they shared the service history at the same moment. However they refused to check the car and certify it.

I believe some service history is shared by companies on their websites too. My Indigo's last service details, as an example, were available on Tata website.

While on the lookout for a Corolla, I had called up Madhuban Toyota and they gave me basic details (services done, no accidents etc) on the phone of the service history. I was told that I wanted more details I would have to go there personally.
Wasan Toyota were willing to do a complete check of the car and give me a checklist for Rs. 1200 with all defects mentioned.

Try Wasan in Chembur.
