I would take it if the deal is around 7 lacs provided the car is in good condition.
Remember spares are expensive and the driving pleasure not all that great.

Me too would settle for anything around Rs 7L.The bodyline appears neat and the paint is original as it appears. The SUV is already five years old and Ford's are not much in demand in the second hand car market. So after much haggling, he may agree for some 7.5 L or more but you can stick to Rs 7L, quoting later expenses to be incurred by you upon buying.
You say the car was owned by the company and has not been transferred to the person's name who works for the company (the seller and present owner). Please check out the RTO and insurance papers and whether his company will sign on the transfer of ownership documents.Companies are charged higher road taxes (One Time Payable) than individual owners in many states.

I agree with others. Since this is a 2WD model, 7 Lakhs is max. Also check that the mileage is genuine and the service history is good.

Hi trrk, why is a TDI better to have than a DICOR? I thought dicor was newer since it was crdi.

I have a 2007 Chev Aveo 1.6LT 16,800 KMs for sale. Ivory color with beige and black interior and chrome garnish on the exterior and interior. Its in excellent condition and no major complaints so far. The 3 years or 100,000KM warranty is still valid.

Carwale estimates the best price as 4.4 to 4.5L :( ... I thought it would be worth more than that... any comments?

At this price point (40k less), mileage (13k vs. 36k) and your running, I would choose the SX4. The model is still in production (albeit face lifted) but accidental parts will be easy to source unlike the discontinued NHC.

The SX4 is nice in the H'way while the NHC is best in City, both cars will provide low maintenance and offer decent ride.

Price difference between: SX4 is 35-40K less than HC

Requirements
1000Kms per month(50 city/50 Hw drive)
Low maintanence
Comfort

Help me to decide one.

need advice on buying a used honda accord

Dear friends,

Pls advice me if a used honda accord 2.4 MT (6th gen), Jan 2004, done 61kkm, is a good buy! The condition of car is good, and the tyres are new. Single hand driven car although he is the second owner on records (company transfer case) 60kkm service is done recently. The final price quoted by the owner is 5.7lacs

My questions are:
1. Is the price OK! the car is registered in jan2004 (dont know if i can say that the car model is 2003 or 2004)

2. What expenses can i expect in near future! considering that fact that it has run more than 60kkm and nothing except tyres has been changed so far! Can any one tell me the average life of various equipments in accord (suspension/clutch plates/brake pads etc.) and there cost.

3. Is Nov/Dec a good period to buy a second hand car! Or should i wait till next year (as the price will reduce further of the same year model)

4. while driving the car, I found the clutch very hard. I was told by the owner that the clutch of accord is like this only. Is it ok, or it needs replacement!

Thanks in advance for your expert comments.

Best Regards
Gaurav

I bought a 2006 July Accent CRDI in September. Paid 4.2L(including agents fee of 7k). We had to change the battery(amaron pro - 6k) and we will be paying insurance in December. It had 56k km on the odo, tyres have another 20 to 25k km life, Sony HU with Sony speakers. FE is similar to what you get. 14 in the city and 18 on the highways. Till date the average FE is 16.8 kmpl.

BTW, it is also white color accent.

A pic of it can be seen here:

3 - 3.5 lacs budget??

I have a budget of 3 - 3.5 lacs to purchase a car. I have already seen a 2005 chevy optra. the dealer is quoting 3.35l. Its a 1st owner car. Is the price proper? Do i have any other options in this budget?

DICOR is indeed new and is common rail! But the smaller DICOR is not in active promotion even by TATA. My opinion was based on some messages in the Yahoo Indica group.

TDi is tried and tested.
