Price looks high for a 4 year old petrol sedan. For about the same price, you should be able to get a late 2008/ early 2009 all new honda city with similar mileage.

Edit - Please check the links below to find out if it is Vtec or Vtec Plus.

Thank you!!
Well, the most obvious thing i recall is a tacho, and as per carwale, above, the vtec plus has it, but not the vtec.
so i suppose, its the vtec plus.

alloys all around, will check on the rear discs though.

Say, by how how much does it seem high, the price?
5.05 is inclusive of some premium that first choice is bound to bake in, which seems ok, going by the report on checks carried out, and the warranties.

EDIT:
Amit, for your response below.
will definitely make a checklist of options on the vtec plus, and confirm.
As for the car, it has a complete service history attached in copies, till mid-2011(I was surprised.Do people maintain these, cos they know they will sell soon?Boy, am i in heaps of trouble if i ever try to sell!)

And 5L was after stretching. No more stretching possible.
plus, the civic, one segment higher, would bring associated costs to the next level too, so pass.
else, there were 2-3 05-06 models available near 5L.

I think the Tacho thing on carwale.com is a mistake. Vtec should also have it, look for other items which are only on vtec plus to make sure which one it is.

I checked carwale for price as well. For a 2008 city zx vtec with 37k km's on odo, price is around 5L only. Which I find surprising as this is a 4 yr old, discontinued petrol sedan. If the car is clean, you can please consider it. Make sure it actually is 37k km's only.

If it was me, and I was okay with a petrol sedan, I'd consider a 07 Civic at about 6L with <50k km on odo. I think a much better product in every aspect and there are plenty available in NCR.

06' March Swift Vxi - 22.5K on the odo,
No scratches or dings, OEM Zxi alloys, art leather interior JBL Amp and HU
Car looks lovingly maintained.
What should be a good price?

Also,
07 Fiesta 1.6 Zxi with Sxi alloys - done around 33K, Moondust silver color.
Car is in very good condition
Is 3.2 a good bargain

if you can be sure that there is nothing wrong with the fiesta, and doesnt seem like its going to be in the near future, its a very good bargain.

Thanks Mayank,
I plan to resell the car in may be an year and go for a Diesel Sedan later.

Is 2.8 a good Price for the Swift? It all boils down to how easy it is for me to resell the car next year without taking a significant depreciation hit.

For sure 5L is a high price for a 08 City ZX. Like you had correctly mentioned one can easily get a 09 ANHC with that many kms on the odo for around 5L in Delhi/NCR.

how about with brand new tyres(as in unwrapped and installed on delivery) and 1 year insurance thrown in?
I know there's some bit of premium since its first choice, but i dont mind that.

My friend wants to sell his FIAT Linea 1.4 Petrol Emotion pack, its a March, 2009 model with 30,000 kms on the click. No dents, only a few scratches here n there and is in pristine condition, totally stock, nothing changed.

How much would it fetch?

For an 06 swift it seems high.
I would be selling my 08 Vxi with 35k on the odo in about a month; single owner, great condition. Evaluation in Delhi has been around 3. I will be happy if I get 3 L for it.

Source a car from the local classifieds or thru T-BHP classifieds, always better to buy directly from the owner. Also better to stay away from the Optra, the NHC is a much better choice.

However, for a 4L budget, your friend should be able to get decent 2007-2008 VTEC Honda City. Instead of going through MFC, look through the classifieds or at carwale. Find a car that's close to your budget, get the car checked by a mechanic you trust and negotiate the price. It will be a little extra effort, but worth it. At MFC, TrueValue or AutoTerrace, you always end up paying more for no good reason.
Thank guys. I have passed on the message to him. However I'd love if someone out on the forum who have tried MFC could recount their experiences.

@Mayankk,
Did a search on the forum. Got these two threads, especially the second one is more vital. I guess for MFC, a through check on the car to be purchased is most vital than anything else.

MFC vs MTV

Can Can Branded Pre-Owned Car dealerships be trusted?

Ok guys, please bear with me in this thread because I'm going to be picky and needing lots of advice before I actually buy a car. And I promise that when I do buy it, I'm going to share all my experiences with you all (if that's a good thing!).

2010 Ford Fiesta 1.6 ZXi (with ABS)
Done 12,800 km. June 2010 model. Now I'll be honest, guys. I have no idea about the Fiesta. I've never really considered it earlier, and I don't know what its list price was, or how much is its market value right now. He's asking for 5.5L. What do you guys say?

My best buddy just picked up a 2008 30k run Swift VXi , Mumbai tax paid, excellent condition, for 3.0 lac dot (bargained from 3.45lac). The only reason he bought it was he wishes to sell the car after max 2.5 years. If you are worried about depreciation, there is no better car than a used Swift.

2.3-2.5 lac should be a good price for a 2006 VXi. You need to bargain really hard but the price is realistic.

If you scratch their surface just a little you will know what they are. They were once selling a Consulate car without proper transfer papers. Records showed that the car was transferred to another buyer 8 months back, he had not done the registration etc.

Also my many visits to their dealerships for various reasons made me to think that way.

Maruti True Value is not much better than them, they are crooks too.
