Congratulations on the car. Please post your review soon. I want to know how the petrol engine compares with the competition!, Volkswagen doesn't have a Petrol TD car in Goa so i will be relying on other bhpians reviews.

Meanwhile PM me the details, so that, if possible I can grab this offer as I am searching in Bangalore for pre-owned diesel swift with 4.5L in my pocket
Hi, Thanks for the reply.

The Cruze was referred by an Employee of Chevrolet (A friend) & I do not know of any used car dealers in Bangalore. Sorry about that.

Am trying to sell my 1999 ZEN. 81900 km run. Replaced new tyres are only 8000 km old. But I am not getting an offer even at 90000? Is my expectation too much? Where are the ZEN lovers?

Getting a buyer for an ambassador is very very difficult now. I still remember, the matador diesel engine was a craze in the ninetees. But, now, padminis are sold even for less than Rs. 10,000 and ambys are also in the similar league. I do not think a 1984 amby can fetch more than 20k in kerala, unless the car is made as a luxury car with Power Steering, Power Windows, All koyas Seats, Superking AC, Tubeless Radials, Power brakes, Etc.

What happens in open market is, you may not meet the actual person who pays a premium for his desire, unlike in new car market.
Until you meet such a person you may have to wait a bit!!

In addition to stock, the car has
1) Alloys from Elan version
2) Reverse camera
3) Auto form seat covers (U fly model with perforations in contact area)
4) 2 yrs warranty + 2 yrs extended warranty
5) 3M thick under body painting and interior rust protection (with 5 yrs warranty)
6) Oil changed recently at 17k

Before I post it in Tbhp classified, what would be a right quote for the car? Carwales quotes (7.17L for individual and 6.5L for dealer) seems very high and does not tie with dealers are offering.

Should I spend 3-4k on a 3 step treatment with 3M/Carz Spa to make the car shine?

Fellow Bhpians...Would require your expertise on the value of the above mentioned pre-owned car.

I'm looking at an Oct 2008 Swift Zxi with 35,000 KMs on it. Carwale suggests a price around 4L for a car in good condition. How much should i offer? This is in Bangalore. TIA.

re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread. (Online tool : Page 1)

I am looking for a used alto lxi.
maruti true value is quoting 1.85 for a 2006 20k run car. while carwale website quotes 1.4 for a good condition car of 2006. re the high tru value prices justified? due to their checks, guarantee etc or not? anyone with experience with tru value may comment. Thanks

yup for sure true value cars are expensive, if your getting a 2006 alto run only 20k km for 1.85 please buy it.

you will not get such a car with 20k on the odo which is 5yrs old.

Carwale would be quoting 1.4lakh based on the condition, mostly at 2006 car would have covered 50k km easily and then you'll have expenses like struts replacement, tyre replacement, battery etc etc.

In bangalore true value are quoting upto 2.1 for 2006 or 2007 car, i am not sure which true value did you find a 2006 alto lxi for 1.85

Yes, agree with Crazy4cars, based on what quotes I got from true value couple of weeks back across Bangalore Alto price you have got is reasonable. However do check if the mileage on odo is corrent.

I personally wouldn't pay 1.85lakhs for an Alto of a near 6yr Vintage. Considering the age of the car it is also very under run; (or the odo has been set back). I dont think you should pay more than 1.5l for the car.
