Just to give you a sense of how overpriced the Lancer is, I sold off my used Lancer (2nd owner, 2001 make, SLXi) back in 2009 for 1.47L. If at all, this one does not deserve anymore than 1L or perhaps even less, me thinks!

I know. I even told him to hold on. But buying a cheap car in Bangalore has become a pain. Even I'm looking for a used Hatch but can't just find one. Maruti TV has cars in my budget but with super high oddo reading. Dealers are over-quoting so much and so are the individuals. Looks like, everyone in Bangalore wants additional premium for the premium taxes that they're paying for other things

OT: BTW he got the car today. My oh my! The car looks amazing. No scratch/fade on the dash. There were a few scratches which a car would usually get in Bangalore traffic. He's gone to Mysore to spend time with his brother and to know how the car's behaving with him. Or rather, how does he behave on the highway in this car.

Hi Guys, a friend is selling 2004 Corolla H5 manufactured 2005 purchased & registered (KA), run 93 K with service history (serviced a few days back), he is third owner but not transferred, technically 2 owners. 3rd party insurance renewed last week. Well maintained but with a few scratches though. Battery is within warranty but tyres are due for a change. How much can he expect.

Exorbitant Pricing as it always is with MFC. Considering it as LS max 2.8-9 L if its truly good with complete service history. Nothing over it.
Beat does not command a good resale.

If you go and sell it the next minute it would be hard to find a dealer ready to pay anything over 2.5L.

And their warranty claims are baseless don't fall for them. Also check for the service history and everything. Transact as you would with any other dealer. Do not trust.

Thanks a lot for replying k2max6. I was thinking 2.6 would be a good price. I will try negotiating after i see the car today. Or else i will keep looking

The dealer is qouting 10.5 L plus 3% vat. Does this sound reasonable.? The bargaining part is still to be done.

Thanks

Considering it's the V mt, I would say around 5.5 would be a good price. I am not too sure how the price varies if your selling a TN regd car in Bangalore though. Might lose another 25000.

It's quite reasonable IMO. Still try 5-10K bargaining.

Just get the mechanicals and paper work checked!

Pick it up man! Just get it checked once from a known mechanic.

OT: I wish people in Bangalore were blessed with such senior citizens who really don't command a premium amount on their cars

Hello Sameer,

Rs. 2 lacs for a 4 year old WagonR lxi with 25000 kms on ODO is a good buy. Though there is a margin for bargaining & reducing the price by another Rs. 10,000 but if the car is in really good condition, Rs. 2 lacs is a good deal.

Thanks,
