re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread. (Online tool : Page 1)

Hi All

What would a TN registered, 2009 Hyundai I10 Sportz 1.2 with 41k on the ODO get in the market? First owner, grey, JBL speakers with art. leather seats from day 1. Regular service. Bruises and cuts from being a road warrior but no dents.

Also, is it better to find a dealer for exchange / upgrade or sell them to individuals?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks
B.

Hello everyone,
Just finalized a Brio S(O) MT for my sister. It is a December 2012 model car in immaculate condition, just a couple of scratches on the front bumper.
Interiors are well kept.

It has done 8000 kms and has a zero dep insurance on it as well.

We are getting it for 3.70 lakhs.

How good or bad is the deal?

I have sold our Oct' 2006 registered Swift - Vxi (ABS) a month back to an individual for Rs. 2.7 Lakhs; The car had done 34000 Kms in about 8 years.

The vehicle had Ovion Art leather seats, Boston speakers and a new set of Bridgestone tyres.

The vehicle was in good conditions except for few scratches over it's body.

Trust this helps some of you.

I had sold my March 2010 model in March 2013 for 3.15L. Same model/state/run around 33k.

I presume yours could fetch around 2.5. What are the quotes you are getting ?

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked with a couple of Hyundai dealers for an exchange and got quoted between 2.1 and 2.2L. No exchange bonus / loyalty bonus of any kind.

I am being quoted 2.3 lakh for a 2009 Santro with 40k on the odo.The car is a base model with AC PS LPG. No power window or music system or central locking. Is it a good deal?

I would not go ahead with this - there is a difference of approx 50-55K (per Gurgaon/NCR) between a new ZDI and the one you are looking for, so not worth taking an older car .. 8.5 would have been a better deal to move forward.

Bought a S(O) MT with 8000 kms and registered in December 2012 for 3.70 last week in Bhopal (M.P.).
Prices should probably be lower in Delhi I suppose.

Whats the difference between S(O) MT and SMT? Only the airbags or is there any other difference too? Going by your figure would 3L be a fair price for the car in question?

Yes major difference is the airbags among the two models, otherwise they look the same from outside and S gets all the kit as well.
3L should be the maximum one should pay for the car, try to bargain more.
How much is the seller asking for?

Seller is a close relative. There won't be any negotiation hence. So need to find the correct price before I approach. My idea is he is expecting 3.5L for it.

3.5L is very steep for the 'S' model. 3L will be the ideal price because in your case you are aware about how the car has been maintained.
All the best for this deal
