This is not going to be direct from an owner so it will surely cost you a bit more, but a lot of basic works will already have been done and polishing / detailing will be done. Make sure a good mechanic checks everything else inside because they won't bother about that or even tell you about it.
@hserus, thanks for the response. This is from owner directly. Owner is asking for 14 which I think is ambitious. I am planning to put my price. Does 13 look fair or low/high? I will get it checked from mechanic / service centre for sure.

Anything around 11-12L should be a good price if the car is in pristine condition.
The seller would have considered Carwale's price as a reference and hence is quoting 14L.

But, if you actually consider a depreciation of 10%/annum (which is very optimistic for a VW), the value of a 3-year old Jetta should come around 13L assuming the ex-showroom price to be around 18L in 2014.

Is this the car on subject?

If so,
- isn't it Feb'12 or older model? (you mentioned Aug'12 in the above post)
- Your signature reads 2013 Rapid

My cousin bought a White Audi Q7, early 2014 model with UK registration, here in Delhi for 35L.

I think he got a great deal.

Hi Bhipians, need your thoughts on the below car

https://www.cardekho.com/used-car-de...Contact_Dealer

Considering the car is in good condition, what would be the imminent repairs or major work required?

Any Members who have this particular car can comment on any issues that are specific to the car that need to be checked

re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hello All,

Did anyone purchase/sell an Sx4 in the recent times. How is the market demand for the same? I have come across a 2011 Zdi version, 60k km's old being sold by a dealer for 5.2L. OBV is showing approx. 3.9L whereas the rest including IndianBlueBook are showing value ranging from 4.5-5.2L.

Apparently swift/dzire are the quickest movers, I have lost count on the number of deals that I have missed due to low quotes.Just wanted to know if the Sx4 is a quick mover in the market w.r.t other cars in its class. Any other inputs are welcome as well.

re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi,

My parents are considering buying an Altis with the following specs:
- 12.75 Lakhs
- 2014 (new Altis)
- VL Petrol Automatic model
- 23k KMs (tire tread and year confirms that this is valid)
- Dealer test car

Given the prices I am seeing in the market, this looks pretty good. Let me know what this group thinks?

Price seems good, but being a test car and driven over a couple of thousand kilometers is the worry point. Have you tried a brief test drive? Hope you must be aware test drive cars will have a lot of premature failures including the engine, transmission and most of the chassis parts due to driver abuse.

Similar aged, well maintained used car in market with double the mileage and a little premium pricing will be a safe bet than a test car IMO.

Hi Guys,
What is a fair price for a 2014 VW Jetta 2.0 TDI Comfortline with 50K KMs on the odo? A local dealer is asking for 16 lakh. Isn't it too much?

Warranty and insurance has expired.

No Sx4 is not a mover! It apparently has a poor resale value right from the start, i have seen pristine condition sx4 zxi being sold for very very low.

I think you should look for a direct buyer rather then a dealer.

It is a ZDI. Surprisingly, the dealer himself conveyed that the odo was tampered(original is around 90k, tampered to 56k). And I expressed no further interest.

+1. I think it is better to wait for a direct seller.

But, the general tendency I have observed is, the genuine sellers(which are very few) post ad with unrealistically high selling prices and disregard realistic quotes from all the genuine buyers, finally end up selling the cars to dealers/cars24/ resort to park & sale. None of which are beneficial for a genuine buyer.
