Second owner, [Brought in company name and once the loan closed, transferred to my name]
KA registered.
Has new set of tires [Continental Crosscontact ATs], new battery
Light metallic grey color

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Looks like an ad for your car minus the photos and price

If the tbhp used car price check doesn’t work for you, check prices on olx and carwale maybe?

That's the expectation.
Want to know the tbhp used car price check's suggestion.
Is there a place where all the prices are quoted?
I saw some previous posts and thought the process is to explain your car and people will share their opinion on what could be a good price.
Isn't that how it works?

There used to be a tool online on the tbhp classifieds site but I somehow cant find it. Try orangebookvalue or indianbluebook for similar tools, or use the valuation tool on carwale.com

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

A colleague is looking to buy used Hexa XTA in Navi Mumbai.

He has two offers right now:
1) 2017 XTA, 20K kms for INR 15L, direct sale from the owner. It is Pune registered. His original quote was INR 17.5L
2) 2018 XTA, 27K kms for INR 15.5L from a dealer in Mumbai.

Can someone suggest what should be the right price.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Vento MPI All-star variant (Alloys + black interiors on Comfortline)

2017 September with 30k Kms running.
Carbon Steel Colour
Good condition
Few scratches here and there
Insurance till next year September
Warranty till 2021
1st owner and single handedly driven
No accidents and claims

What can be expected? Cars24 and other tools have no price. Anyone who can give me an approximate price at which it should be sold. Dealers are giving varied figures from 3.5-5.5 lakhs.

As per my knowledge anything around 6+ would be a good price for the Vento MPi in Mumbai.

Which city and colour? As per my experience, automatic models are not popular in Duster. Also, base model fetches a better resale value.

Depends on which car has extended warranty and if 2018 model has a 3 year AMC, he can go with it without much confusion.
But if neither is available on both the cars, i would say doing a test drive would help. Somehow leaning towards the 2018 model as the dealer can step in and rectify any issues should they crop up.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi All,
Please excuse me for my silly question. I shall be highly grateful if you can please help me with the dilemma I am in.

I am planning to to buy a 0-3 years old BMW X1 or 3 Series (Diesel). My budget is anywhere around Rs 30 Lakhs (though can be extended if required). Now, while going through various threads I found that even BMW is offering discounts running in many lakhs on older models. This has put me in state of confusion.
Most people suggest that we should go for pre-owned luxury cars as they depreciate a lot in their initial years. But will it be worthwhile to go for pre-owned (max 3 year old) ones when the company itself is giving huge discounts, which can increase further as we near BS-VI cut off date?
I believe there wont be much depreciation if we consider the discounts being offered by the company. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I am a complete novice in this area. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Now this is what I call terrific resale price. And this is also the reason why to some extent Toyota is able to get off by pricing the Innova so steeply. You get most of that money back when you sell the vehicle (apart from Delhi NCR now due to the NGT factor).
