These packages are installed by the dealer and not by the factory.

My friend got a sunroof fitted in his accord and the interior switches just dont gel with his standard interior and it clearly looks like an aftermarket fitment.
I too would like to have a sunroof in my car but am skeptical about the fitment at the dealer vs. the factory. The last thing I want to encounter is a leaking roof on a rainy day after paying a premium for the sunroof on an already premium car.

Re: Honda Civic gets optional Sunroof

So the rear door sunshades (Honda Car India :: Civic) are replaced by rear glass sunshade. Nice way to say we have added something new!

The sunroof is factory fitted. Order one and you will get it. The elegence and inspire accessories packages are dealer fit.

Completely agree, I saw a Civic a couple of days back in Bangalore in a strange looking color. I thought it looked fantastic on a Civic. Now I know it is called Urban Titanium.

That's good news. Any idea on the pricing of the sunroof?

More or less but a shade darker. See the color on a city.

Any idea how much just the rear window and windsheild sunshade cost?

Re: Honda Civic gets optional Sunroof

I was told by the dealer that Sun Roof is not Honda but after market fitted by dealer.

Honda has not yet released any such version update. Can someone confirm please?

Re: Honda Civic gets optional Sunroof

Sorry for OT guys but had been to the auto show currently going on in Palace grounds.

Honda stall has the Jazz in Bright Red/ Racing Red colour. As part of New year celebrations they are now providing the red colour on all variants unlike only in the Jazz X earlier. Rest all specs are same. Select gets the alloys and parcel tray. OTR price is 8.5L for the base variant.

The Civic with sunroof is expected to become active shortly or when the new Accord goes on sale early next month.

Re: Honda Civic gets optional Sunroof

Honda introduces the sunroof and still gives the steering mounted music system controls a miss before final goodbye. i still don't understand how much would it cost them to just introduce 3 buttons on the steering wheel which would actually be more helpful than a sunroof which is barely used.

I feel that if they really want to go out on a bang then maybe drop the S version put a price cut on the V more in the S category and then see the sales fly. By reducing some profit margin = more sales and go out on a bang.

Re: Honda Civic gets optional Sunroof

I have seen this so called new sporty civic on the roads.

And frankly the new rear octagonal lights(supposedly to enhance the sporty looks!) look totally wierd. I was not aware of this thread or new facelift Civic, and thought that the civic owner must have got bored and done an aftermarket horrible job. But here I am seeing that the tail-lamp assembly is an original fitment! They will ruin a good looking car by trying these gimmicks.
(the original stock Civic is almost as perfect as a good looking car can be)

+1 to that.
Typical of Honda to leave some features out so that a future "upgrade" can be justified. And of course at a higher price. The sunroof in India is used more to make a snob statement than as an actual useful utility.
