Fiat sells 1262 Lineas and is the segment leader .

But Fiat could not repeat the same performance with Palio - it sold a paltry 47. But Ford sold 100 Fusions & Skoda sold 273 Fabias in the same segment.

Honda down by -3.3% in mid-size. The only other manufacturer shown negative sales in this segment is Ford, thats by -19%. I can understand Ford's part in the game, but what has gone wrong with Honda when industry was showing a recovery in 2/2009. Is Fiat steeling some of the game from Honda?? But Linea has has also gone down by -16%. Somehow I can't correlate all these!

Wow, the time of Linea has come. If fiat keeps it right, this may soon start eating into sales one segment lower! 1200 units is still quite low when compared to city etc., but its a good start for Fiat!
As for the Palio, I think its "GAME OVER"
fiat needs to bring in the bravo etc., to shake the hatchback segment

Fiat has got a great opportunity to put the past (and that was not good at all) behind it and do whatever it takes to become a serious player in India again. More competition is always good for us.

Problem is Fiat is bringing the Bravo as a CBU. At those prices, the only thing Fiat will be able to shake are the Indian car buyers!

Whats up with the Palio? It was averaging about 200-250 units but sales have crashed in the last two months to under 100 units.

Regarding Linea, it doesn't seem like it's hitting Fiesta and Verna sales. That's odd. I thought the Fiesta would be hit the most by the Linea. Seems like the Linea has expanded the market rather then taking away share from existing players.

I also thought Swift Dzire would hit the Fiesta, specially the Zdi variant. Again, it doesn't seem like it's happening.

Altis is holding steady at 500 units but Civic is still managing to keep it's nose ahead.

@sj_koova: i see that Ford sales are up not down. Yes, Honda mid size is down by a small margin - but at those numbers (4739!) they ares till registering some of the best numbers since Mar 08.

Logan numbers nearly doubled , but sill a pretty dismal 1008. Tata seems to be doing a bit better sompared to last few months.

I guess Dezire will be leading the Mid Size segment for a long time now.

Its not just Fiesta sales anymore. Its Fiesta+Ikon. Hyundai sales had gone down, but recovered in last month (people waiting for face lifted Verna?)

Then it has to be the GP. Palio simply has no buyers now.

May be the people are holding back because of the news about GP and upgraded Palio.

Congrats to FIAT , those are good numbers but not great.

Did ford reduce the price of FUSION or some discounts?
sales have jumped from 47 to 100

What ? I don't think there is sense in flagging a dead horse now. Time to get in the newer stuff.

what happened to the recession ?? ;-)
in the luxury segment, both are up 600% and no mention of audi, nissan and vw there!
great percentage of increase, but number are countable.

in the UV segment, Maruti has 1 on its list. is the Grand Vitara ? so they sold only 1 in the month of Feb ?? if yes, too bad !!

According to the latest updates from FIAT they will not discontinue it, rather they have plans of upgrading it.
