But wait..Fiesta TDCi is 68 bhp... Dzire is 75bhp...wait wait..even true "D" segmenter, Skoda Octivia is 90 bhp. So what? SX4 is 102 bhp, 10 bhp more than Linea. But oops, again Verna is 110 bhp. Oh so, SX4 is way behind its peers. But wait again, AHNC is 116 bhp. So all these Fiesta, SX4, Verna are all way behind its peer.
You missed the Octavia behind ANHC as well on the same parameter

@Vasudeva- As i am looking at this thread first time just read current 5 pages.
So from where these figures are taken and how much accurate they are?

While driving down to Kerala in Unni.ak's car, we noticed a Xylo with yellow plates. While M&M has deliberately tried to prevent the Xylo from being a cabbie favourite (no white color option), cabbies seem to be unmindful of what color they choose atleast in Kerala.

309 5-Series is quite staggering, must be all time high - almost near accord numbers (326)

Linea in D segment just coz of its length?Good Joke

Seems ANHC and SX4 are the segment leaders leaving behind Fiesta,Aveo,Verna and Linea.

^^ How can 2 cars be segment leaders unless both have the same (sales) nos?

Honda City is the segment leader, no doubt!

City is the segment leader because it leads the whole segment.

SX4 leaves behind the Fiesta, Aveo, Linea and Verna so it's leading the segment.

Linea leads Fiesta so it's also a segment leader in it's own way.

Verna leads Fiesta and Linea so it also leads the segment.

That leaves out the poor Aveo that leads no one so it doesn't get the status of segment leader. BUT, Aveo leads the segment if you consider least sales. .

Basically, these are like the film awards. Everyone gets something so none of the fans get disappointed and all of them claim that their favourite is the best. .

Just meant to say there's another gap of around 400-500 between SX4 and the other cars like Aveo,Verna,Fiesta,Linea.

honda city numbers are impressive considering the fact that it costs about 9L+ and all its competitors are much much less than that numbers.
fiesta numbers keeps increasing m-o-m(except for jan)

Actually, those are the combined figures of both the Fiesta and the Ikon. I believe the updated Ikon with the 1.4 TDCi has a remarkable contribution to those figures. Been seeing a lot of them around lately.

You don't really have to try so hard, man. It ain't gonna change the facts. You mentioned bhp figures of so many cars, but when was the last time you heard someone say that an Octavia doesn't move or for that matter a Fiesta-D, which sports the lowest bhp of all the C-segmenters ? Now, go to any Linea TD thread and check out what is said about how it moves. It is not just about figures ...

Palio ain't dead yet!

Having seen the low of 47 in February I would have been happy with a total sales figure of 74 for the Palio in March. Bravo, another 1 is added to that figure from left! I'll sure visit Kamakhya Temple for a bow if Fiat manages to add yet another 1 to that figure (from left or right).

But overall I feel its Mercedes who has done well

173 C Class vs 116 3 Series Sold

72 S Class vs 15 7 Series

39 M Class Vs 38 X5

Even the E class numbers are pretty good, if one keeps in mind that buyers are aware of the impending launch of the new E Class.

Though there is one thing I would say 7 series has a low beta compared to S Class (as in stock market lingo)

Oops! Did that pinch?

So what facts are you talking about? Facts are not who said what on a thread. So, I'll give back same advise. Go and check out 0-100, Quarter mile, 100-0 (braking), 20-80/40-100 roll on figures.

BTW, I do hope you have test driven the car
