Thanks Steer for the link!

For March'07, NHC: 5,164
Fiesta: 4,011

We have to wait & see how Maruti can dent those figures with SX4!

2,525 Honda Civics in March!! Thats bloody fantastic. I am sure even Honda must be zonked with that demand. On the other hand, Octavia is outselling the mighty Corolla. I woudn't say it's because Skoda has the diesel advantage because in that case it would be close between Octy and Civic.

Mercedes 465 to Accord 380, I am guessing those figures are for C and E class?

A3 is the Civic, Corolla, Octavia, Optra and Elantra segment.

The 24 units figure is of the Elantra.

Oops. I got it wrong. A2 figures look healthy.

Hey Verna sold 3415 units in March! Not bad. Thought its only me who bought it this year Poor Cedia. Inspite of it being a good VFM car, even crappy cars like Aveo sells better.

Impact of SX4 in Upper A3 will be interesting from this months figures onwards. I think it will eat away more from City than others since they sell more diesels.

Let me make a guess here for the top four in May '07 for 'Upper A3' segment.
=============
City: 3800
Fiesta: 3500
Verna: 2900
SX4: 2150
=============
Lets tally this with May figures!

I would say optimistic number for NHC. I would put it around 2500. For Verna, I would say 1900.

I would say you are very poor at guessing.

DCE, do you already have the figures for May 07 ?! Suggest you to try your luck instead of finding faults Lets make this a game. We do all sort of predictions with useless thing like elections and cricket. Why not this?

I think DCEite would like to base his facts on Maruti's statements of over 900 cars being booked in 2 days!
Fiesta seems to be on a roll. Doubt the SX4 would be able to dent those figures a lot as the Fiesta does have the Diesel Advantage (this has just given me an ego boost).
Hyundai Verna is selling. A good jump over the paltry 550-600 it sold a month or two ago.

They sold the following figures in Jan, Feb and March resp:

2,729

2,675

3,415

I wouldnt call that paltry..not as much as competition yes, but definitely not paltry. But then they're everyone's favourite whipping boys!

Going by the A3 class sales I think Verna sells pretty well down south. I see a lot of these here in Hyderabad everyday, though almost all of them are the CRDi versions. I have seen a very limited number of VVTi.
