On ndtv website, M&M is running an add which says that Logan is the largest selling sedan in India. Huh? I thought it was a flop?

It sold more than Indigo last month. Is that a flop?

Why not???

This sounds true indeed.
Look at the features of both the cars and there is no reason not to compare.

^^Features and specs don't make a car. Drive it and you'll realize how much better the Civic really is compared to SX4.

Slightly off the topic,

Is it true that Logan is the best selling sedan in it's category?

One of my friend says he saw ad from madhindra in pune ( Hinjewadi) claiming the same.

Yes. 200 CC difference is there, I can feel that. But those for whom these 200CC don't matter than I think they should go for SX4

Vivek,

The comfort level in Civic while driving is really good.. compared to SX4 or even honda city... And also the looks wise you cannot compare civic and sx4.... For me civic means more sense than Sx4. If Civic and Sx4 are priced the same, what do you think people will choose

See, even you are comparing...:-)

It's not about which is better.
It's about whether they can be compared...and the answer seems to be "Yes".

Any 2 things that are same/similar on paper will be automatically "compared" and in majority of the cases one will be found better than the other.

The fact that SX4 has things that can be compared with Civic rather than NHC, is in itself an achievement for Maruti.

If they were priced the same, this argument would hold water. Since they arent, the SX4 is definitely offerring a lot more for its price.

dear all,
i did test drive of sx4,aveo.fiesta,verna,optra,indigoxl and finally decided on CIVIC,because of overall this car is the best (cost apart),what i mean is even if cost was same i would have gone for civic because it is so much more better than others in being futuristic, looks, driving comfort, rear seat comfort, power, style and the list can go on.to me sx4 did not appeal like car (looks you driving a SUV)

If you took test drive of ACCORD then you would have gone for it instead of CIVIC. So the as a matter of fact if we see the VFM ratio in a car then SX4 stands higher than CIVIC or any other car in a segment or higher.

Guys,
Please keep SX4 v/s Civic for some other thread.
Lets not go off-topic.

i did test drive accord too, but IMHO did 'nt like the interiors too and felt civic has right combination of being a great looker ,power ,features ,futuristic and found civic as most VFM with all the aspects taken care of !!!
