There is a lot of discussion in various threads regarding very long waiting periods for many popular models from many manufacturers, most notable being vento/polo and etios.
There was an article published in Forbes India magazine (Dec 17 2010 issue) which highlighted a severe parts/components shortage across manufacturers in the Indian auto industry.
