OH!
Rhino..Yes I had seen it on tv..

To me it looks like the designer wanted something to compete with the qualis and scorpio but couldnt think of any design so they just thought of combining both and present to the people..

It looks like a copy paste job to me...Guys why why??
Atleast a simple but original design would have given you a road to compete...

By the way there is one Delhi based AGM(Hope I got it right) designed model displayed too...
Is sure going to be hit with taxiwalas. and in village after the qualis...
Now lets see what kind of service do they give..

I think the Zen "Classic" would run it close for that title!

I used to see one everyday for about a year in ARAI. Even they had given up on it, it seems, because it just lay there, gathering dust and bird droppings by the ton. It was, purple in colour. Its not that bad, when viewed from the rear especially for a UV aimed at the rural market.

@ Ajmat, yes it really is appalling how the car magazines allowed such complete drivel to be published in their magazines. It was so clearly just some marketing crap that the manufacturer issued that was printed verbatim.

Maybe they were trying to make it look better.

All I can say is that it took part in the Raid -de- Himalaya and manged to finish, albeit not in the best of conditions. I think the one on the raid was running a 2.0ltr Isuzu diesel. It did survive though.

I saw one(white example)undergoing testing(engine and electricals)inside mico bosch for a more powerfull and modernised engine rest remains the same,if anyone has contacts inside bosch testing they can have a peek it may still be there, the quality seemed average at the best and rest was nothing to write home about,

since i was on an official visit i could not get enough time to look too closely.

I actually went and saw one at a showroom in August. It is one of the ugliest cars on the road today. The interior was awful and looked very cheap. I sat in the drivers seat and it felt low to the ground.

I think the guys at the dealership were desperate for customers. They took me to the "workshop" to see a top of the range rhino and it was no better. It had an AC (Qualis style) mounted on the roof for rear passengers.

After 10 minutes I had to make excuses and get out the dealership.
