Hi all,

Having driven the Sumo Grande and the Rhino, I thought I would share my opinion:

The Sumo Grande is more spacious than the Rhino, no doubt. I couldn't test its dual AC, the single AC was satisfactory. While driving it, the gear lever will prove a good exercise to the hand as you need to stretch your hand out to get hold of it. Also the shifting does not happen quick. So that's a bit of a downside. While taking a U-turn, I found the A pillar blocks my view completely. Could prove dangerous when in tight spaces. Otherwise the vehicle was quite good and unlike the typical Sumo.

The Rhino is more spacious than the Scorpio, specially the rear seats. The single AC cooled the third row within seconds, so I would rate it marginally better than even the Grande. Engine refinement in terms of noise is not great, the engine surely makes itself heard as compared to the Grande. Driving position is a bit uncomfortable as I had trouble sliding under the steering and then getting out. It cannot be done as quickly or easily as in the Grande (or even in my M800), so that's a big downside. Once in the seat, however, the gear lever is easy to the hand. The horn pad on the steering wheel sometimes blocks your vision to the speedo and other meters. Outside mirrors are oval, which offer less visibility as compared to the squarish ones found on other vehicles. Oh yes, and the accelerator pedal is as smooth as anything. Probably a downside, but that can be fixed.

Overall, I think Rhino is not a cheap car, but actually a feature packed vehicle at a discount. The fully loaded Rhino comes at a little more than 8.20L, while the Sumo Grande is 8.90L.

The Rhino is assembled in tax free zone in HP. seen many of them in showrooms in HP and Punjab, but it just hasnt sone well even the market in HP or Punjab...so obviously the product has major issues.
To my mind for ICMl this was just a qucik thing to get on road and get things in place before they launch other vehicles (it hardly had much advertising support for rhino). so the vehicles after this can be expected to be of better value and quality maybe.
