Fiat surprises it's customers. Way to go...

I was shocked yesterday evening when i checked my letter box. There was a new year card from Fiat, personally signed by marketing and after sales representatives. First of anything i received from Fiat during the last 3 years of Fiat ownsership.

Looks like things started improving at the Fiat front and they are believing that they can't loose Fiat loyalists and existing customers. They need to create some feel good value.

This happens all the time. Even the smallest gesture from Fiat invokes so much goodwill from their customers...

I wonder what happens if they really improve their A.S.S.

I recieved one too. The first thing that came to my mind is, "Hmmm.. these guys are still there in India". How'bout announcing their India roadmap, if any, to the customers?

Not that they didn't try hard to loose them Fiat loyalists are just so sticky.. My inner voice says that Fiat guys won't give up so soon. May be that card was just some ploy?

Typical of minorities. They always have tremendous unity.

Minorities? What minorities? They are endangered species on Indian roads. Funny thing is that they are happy being so.

I got a card as well. Funnily, it goes a long way in easing all the bad experiences and helps me regain a little of the lost hope.

Perhaps the ship wont sink after all?

I got a card each from Tata Motors and my dealer.....
Shall I go around jumping with joy?
Shall I forgive them for all those issues on the Dicor?
Shall I forgive them for not giving me Arizona Blue on time?
Shall I forgive them for allowing those jokers at BSM to call my car a Dud?

Since I got two cards, perhaps I should forgive them for everything they did last year and everything they are about to do this year. One Hallelujah per card ! The fact that they sent me a card must also indicate that a new revised Dicor is going to be launched and that they will give us free examples of the new one !

From the next new year, I will send cards ONLY to people I've pissed off, dumped or otherwise neglected. The power of a piece of paper....

RX I notice you only pop up when the four letter word starting with "F" is mentioned - as you popped up miraculously on my poor little post trying to beat off the big bad beast BSM.........seriously man, how do you manage it? It must take a lot of effort.

We would have a lot of swifts, getz's, Santro's, Alto's , indigo's etc etc running scared. We all have seen the scare India's biggest companies got when Palio sales are zooming.

I wonder why people are getting so angry if someone has a Fiat car and loves it. Why is it that a santro, getz, wagon r, swift, indica, indigo, safari owner proudly announces how much he loves his car but when a fiat owner does the same he is shouted down and crucified. I have driven a number of international quality cars in the last few months but NONE, I repeat, NONE could give the feeling I had when I drove my Palio. These cars are built with passion. How many hot selling cars in India can hold their own against the best of west? Fiat owners know exactly what I am talking about. What is about the Palio that makes it's owners so passionately in love with it? I, frankly don't know, it's just the way the car makes you FEEL. It's next to impossible to explain it!
