Is it me or something, according to me the car will surely not succeed if its a four seater.
As car like this is better sold off with two seats and four in Euro market. They should consider four seats only for Indian market.
Come on, no one will Europe buy a cramped four seater, instead they will prefer spacious two seaters.

Is it that cramped compared any other compact hatch in Europe? Mitsubishi i, Toyota small car,etc. are having almost the same space in the rear IMO. Even the Smart is cramped compared to nano or pixel in the front leg room space I feel( need to check the actual dimensions ofcourse). But still it has it's own market.
Let's see how the Europe's market is going to respond to the actual production car.

One of the USPs is that its "controlled" (unlocking, music, AC, etc) via a tablet computer. Samsung Galaxy Tab in this case.

Amazing. A product definitely worthy of being displayed in a JLR showroom. It can be easily marketed as a lifestyle product if done properly.

Can anyone confirm if this is the outcome of the Nano Europa project? This somehow reminds me of Apple products. May be they can add an "i" to Pixel. iPixel. It sounds good too!!

Whoa! Looks like a nice little toy!

Going by the interior, it seems like a touch-and-go car; you just press a button and off you'll be. Attractive centre console! Very cute interiors on the whole! The gear box and dashboard is sinfully nice!

I just hope it sounds cool; given the diesel engine, they should make the engine sound nice and unlike the Nano which sounds like an auto.

The "Drawer" at the rear makes it look a refrigerator!

Overall, a wonderful toy to own!

An afterthought : They could make this their first hybrid car. Would sell like hot pancakes.

Beautiful concept from TATA! Remains to be seen how much they are able to convert into the production version though!

But, the rear design looks dangerous to me. Production version may resemble the Ritz rear end, which has not been widely accepted for its looks.

Man this car has blown me away! Even if this car sees production in the future, I dont think the whole 'galaxy tab' thing will be introduced. Also, the doors wont be 'wings'.
IMHO, the turning radius will be the best selling point and it definitely should be a fully electric car or a nice parallel hybrid car.

The Tata Pixel looks so similar to the Nido ev Electric Vehicle by Pininfarina S.p.A.

Nido is a small two-seater car with innovative safety measures for passengers as well as pedestrians.
As crumple zones are less meaningful in a small car, Nido innovates a new principle instead.
Seats mounted on a movable inner sled, within a rigid outer egg shell.
The inner sled and outer shell are connected by 3 energy absorbing honeycomb sections of different density.

The steering wheel and pedals operate on a steer-by-wire, brake-by-wire basis, and break-away in a collision to protect the human beings inside.

Power comes from a 30 kiloWatt motor running on a 21 kiloWatt hour battery. It can reach 90 km/h in 6.7 seconds and drive 139 km on a single charge.
