Can someone post the interiors, does that get CF components on dash etc.?

I would have preferred a red lip on the bumper and diffuser with white/black car color, instead of CF.

The alloys most definitely should be matte black with red/yellow/green pinstripe.

Time to get working on my ANHC, I have some 3M CF sticker to test
BMW has a complete line of Performance component (check the website). What the company gives here is that you take the Performance Edition as the car to begin with. This is as it is a visually differentiated piece from a 320d CE. Post that, keep on kitting it up as much as you like. (tuning kit is available as well in the Performance line of parts as a BMW part number).

Re: BMW 320d Performance Edition

This is just BMW's counterpart to the Inspire kit available for the Honda Accord. Very non BMW, this package. Period.

This reminds me of the BMW M3 competition pack Which turned out to be slower than the regular M3.

Re: BMW 320d Performance Edition

Lol, just some carbon fibre performance bits ain't going to give the 320 any improved performance, it's no V8. I thought they would have atleast tuned the engine and added in a performance intake and exhaust.

Re: BMW 320d Performance Edition

Pointless IMO. If there is zero performance upgrade then why spend an unnecessary 2 odd lakh over these visual upgrades ? At any given point of time, a stripped down 320d CE is going to keep up with the variant. When the same engine is offered in the same car minus a few fancy gadgets but for a much much better value, i dont see why would anyone want to opt for this honestly.I repeat,Pointless.

Wow, didn't see that coming. While the CE was a brilliant move, this one reeks "WANNABE".

Although, I must say, I do like that spoiler.

Re: BMW 320d Performance Edition

I heard this is only an external package; front bumper skirt, rear spoiler, window trims and mirror trims. Cost: About 2 Lakhs.

It seems they have also added some stickering, a racing stripe running across the side. Saw it at Navnit Bangalore and it looked horrendous.

Yes they have done so. There's a new specimen in our apartment complex. Quite unpalatable. But it does have nice 255 tyres I think.

Re: BMW 320d Performance Edition

Was at the Gurgaon Dealership last week when a throaty 3 Series drove in. A closer look revealed 320d. The guy at the dealership tells me that it has had a Performance Tuning from BMW what along with the Performance Exhaust!

Any ideas what is it?

Re: BMW 320d Performance Edition

BeamerBoy,

BMW India now officially offer a few performance accessories for some of their cars and some are visual and some are real performance oriented including more power for the engine and exhaust systems and seats and the best is the steering wheel with LED's integrated in it,

You can visit BMW.IN for more information and also download the entire catalogue of the range available for India.

Regards,

Re: BMW 320d Performance Edition

It would be great to have a fellow bhp-ian try it or to write some user reviews. It all looks fabulous on the website, how does it look and feel in real?

Re: BMW 320d Performance Edition

BMW India is offering an ecu mod (i think it might be an add-on piggyback chip) and a performance silencer (this one i think only for diff sound) for the 320d.

Total price for both is around 2L. I was sent the quote but have it on my work computer. Will put it up here next week if anybody wants to know the actual figures.

The ecu mod alone was a round 1.5L. Totally waste of money i think. I got the race chip for 10% of this, and its great! Just awesome.

I was earlier trying to get my hands on the eisenmann exhaust, but dropped the idea after BMW told me I will lose my warranty on the car if I installed this. Now that BMW is offering an exhaust, I am interested. Have also told my cousin in Germany to find this for me at a cheaper price point. I'm guessing it should around 30k in Germany.
