Thanks devarshi, do you think they'd plonk in a diesel as well (it is traditionally a petrol)?

cedia is supposed to have 3 engine options similar to the ones the current lancer has.

the 2.0 L petrol
the invecs (probably the new invecs-3 or the current 1.8)
a cdi turbo petrol

the montero will be a diesel alongwith the outlander(both petrol and diesel)

carisma is also rumoured to be undergoing heavy modifications to take on the d-segment cars.

HM-mitsubishi have entered into some big talks lately in which HM will be the main manufacturing hub for Mitsubishi internationally.

Thats the reason HM is announcing lauches after launches.

skoda riding on the back of record number of sales in '06, is expected to foray into small car segement to see it can match up the likes of nation frenzied maruti and Hyundai...which i think is evident with lauch of laura displayed at Autoexpo this year ...much awaited fabia is in the pipeline and looks to make indian debut in mid June as reports indicate...

I think the skoda fabia will do quite well, when introduced in india. Skoda has managed to establish itself as a premium brand in india (which is not so true in the case of europe) and so any car that it comes out with in the small car segment will have the advantage of that fact.

I think Mahindra's have the most scope of improving their market by launching the new bolero and scorpio variants. The HEV when launched, would be a path-breaking story..

Skoda should bring in the yeti-2 asap.. Can't wait to get my hands on it.. I am not sure if it is still a concept vehicle or being launched commercially..

Tata's have made a smart move by aligning with Fiat to sell Fiat products in India.. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Fiat engines in Tata vehicles or the other way around by 2007..
