I can see webcast going on right now -7pm, 25th Mar, for an R8 launch at Mint Luxury Conference on Hindustan Times: Latest Breaking News from India, Cricket, Bollywood, World, Business, Videos .

Not sure if this is a new car launch OR showcasing the product.

Looking at it, it seems a new model launch.

It was the R8 spyder which was launched,so any pics?Did anyone attend the launch?

I just saw a pic of the orange R8 spyder displayed at the launch party. It was uploaded by a guest at the launch party. I am using tbhp mobile so can't upload the same here.

The R8 spyder looks hot in this orange shade! Gul Panag has been known as a car and bike fanatic for years but I never knew Audi roped her as the brand ambassador. Good thing! :)

Nice shade too. So this has a soft top right? Also i must say smart lady not to put those huge heels into the car. No no no, you definately cant drive with those.

"Looks like the Audi R8 family is growing rapidly in India – after the launch of the R8 V10 in January this year, the German sportscar has dropped it’s hard top and been launched as the R8 Spyder! With such mean styling that is now accentuated by the missing roof, the R8 Spyder isn’t just about looking the part. Under that sleek bonnet is a massive 5.2 litre V10 gasoline engine putting out over 500 PS of power and 530 Nm of torque! Making things even more interesting is the lightness of it all with Audi’s Space Frame technology that limits the R8 Spyder’s weight to just 1720 kg. The sound of the V10 itself should be all the equipment you need, but Audi has plonked in loads of gadgets to spoil customers silly.
