Btw why did you removed CC from your car ?
Also, does the CC make any impact on the performance of the car? Would removing it give more performance? Does it any way affect the FE?

We removed it as unleaded petrol was not available where we shifted our residence. But I didnt feel any difference in the output. Yes you can fit CC on ordinary fiat also but you would need modifications on the silencer pipe as cc is fitted with bolts on both the ends.

Good to see some positive replies. As i don't have any CC and finding it in scrapyard is finding a needle in a haystack, is there any CC available in the market of any other car which can be fitted in PP S1. Is there a possibility that i may find a new one in the market?

Update on Karthik's S1. Patti work in progress. Will be painted this week.

All cosmetics have been removed.

Karthik: Can you call Mr. Canon and tell him to remove the badges on the boot instead of covering them and painting as suggested by him to me.

Also its better to remove the front and back windshield as there might be minor rusts near the beading. Its better to paint in those places.

Arun, are you sure the S1 badges can be removed and fitted back properly ? I think they are more like stick-on badges, and not the screw type. Please confirm before removing..

Ya Ravi, they are stick-on badges. And yeah I am sure its a tough job to fix them back properly.

Karthik's idea is not to fit them and keep it safely at home so that he can fix them back when S1 becomes a Classic Car. He will then restore it back to originality.

Cool Arun, that sounds great ! S1 badges are impossible to find nowadays, in fact I think early Fiat 1100 badges are easier to find !

Recently my mechanic suggested me to get the original PP S1 carburetor changed as the older one had some problems related with PIN. I want to know what is a PIN in the carburetor, how does it look like.
It was changed just because that pin was not readily available in the market. The carburetor is of SOLEX Bicsa M32 make.
