The car is looking great from every angle. The painter seems to be a pro and it shows from his work. BTW nice set of half plastic wheel caps.

Indian version S1 had the PAL logo on top of the grill like shown in the pic.

I am not sure whether this is true for all Indian S1 cars.

Also, many pre-S1 Padminis came with the PAL logo positioned near the bonnet as shown above.

Few days back some questions came up in my mind regarding PP S1. Hope you guys can help especially Mr Arun

1. Is the front cross member of S1 same in design and dimension as compared to old padminis

2. Can the original fuel pump (ucal make) be repaired or replacing is the only option. I am getting new one of KPACCO make.

3. The 3speed intermittent wiper is not functioning properly. It wipes at only 2 and 3 speed and the auto position system is also not working.I have to manually bring it down. It was repaired after my car caught fire so all the plastic sockets and wires were burnt. The electrician replaced all the wires only and when i told him that wiper is not functioning at a certain speed he told that there is a plastic part which controls speed and it is unavailable in the market. So what should be the problem. Can anything be done regarding this and what plastic part is he referring to.

4. I inquired about the rubber lining of doors, and was told that it is called RUBBER GOLA and is available for 600 rs. Should i go for it.

5. What should be the approx price of new front and rear windshield rubber lining? (please state breakup cost)

Nope. The later models of the S1's and 137D's came with full sized plastic hub caps. Hard to find them. Yes, the small wheel caps gives the PP's a sporty look and appears neat

Samsag12: I can answer only your 4th question. Post the remaining 4 questions on the PP Technical Information thread. Someone should help you there.

If the rubber beading on your doors is worn out, its worth changing. If not you get some small noises when you go on bad roads or on humps. However, you may need to do the door setting all over again. If you cant get hold of a well known door setter, then may screw up the paints on the edges of the door and the B-pillar.

Exactly what are your plans for this car. Seems quite original. Nice body line. Although it looks like a monster without the lights, grill and bumper.

Sorry for my late reply. I plan to keep it in its original form. But the paint would be Pearl white (same like my Linea) and change the front windscreen as it is severely scratched. Probably would go for Alloy wheels with radial tyres. Not decided on it yet. The tinker is very busy with other vehicles . Now since 2.1/2 months it is lying in his garage and he is attending to it at his leisure and I m also in no hurry.
