You have maintained the car very well. I have done in my Padmini during my various trips from Mumbai to Madurai (1600 kms) speed of 100 kmph many times and matched most of the vehicles for speed many a times.

All the best!

Jaisha8,
Nice Jaish, & congratulation (belated) for winning the race (Escort one).
First love is always first. I like the people like you who do not forget old friends (your S1).

Thanks guys! There are some small dents, scratches and small areas that need a patch up work. Its in the Garage. The floor too is little rusted (Considering replacing what ever is bad). A tinker will evaluate my car shortly and let me know what all work needs to be done. Its more of a mini restoration to make my S1 last longer and longer. Hopefully, everything goes fine. If I get the car before 28th, I will be off for 1000-1200kms holiday

I m further going to soon transform my S1 as below. This is a computer developed image. Some repair work (tinkering) is going on at present. I will put a complete new rubber mats inside and also there are some rat holes on the inside roof which has to be repaired. The bushings have to be changed as this is a frequent problem in S1. As I plan to sell off my Ford Ikon, the SONY ICE unit I will fit in my Padmini. I believe it should be some car after all this is done.
Any suggestions from you all are most welcome.

Excellent idea of having alloys for your car.Do not put extra wide tyres, go for the normal fiat radials.

Mr. Mehul.. Can you explain why fixing alloys is a EXCELLENT idea?
Will it give more mileage?
Better handling?
More power?

Justify Please.

Dear Karthik- Simply love your car. Indeed a very original car. like your cation sticker next o the steering. The Thacker mats are really period and may have come as original. superb

PS- I now kind of know what i want to achieve nirvana.

Mr.Arun, as far as I know alloys add a definite character to the car and enhances looks and handling if choosen wider than original. Alloys add a sporty appeal to the car.

This is the only knoweldge I have about alloys, as I am not an expert as you sir. I have 0.1 % knowledge in front of you.
