Indian racing driver competing in the UK

Hi Everyone

I had joined this forum many years ago but stopped visiting it due to moving out of India.

However in that time I have started competing in motorsport.

Firstly in the UAE karting championship where I took race wins and podiums in a few part seasons.

Since then I raised the sponsorship to go and compete in the British Formula Ford championship.

This year I am racing in the Formula Renault championship where I am currently 8th in the standings (24 drivers) and top rookie. The championship is very competitive, for example in Round 2 at Brands Hatch I qualified 0.2s of pole position which left me 8th on the grid!

Anyway, you can find out more info on www.zaaminjafer.com but the reason why I am on here is to ask for some support in order to raise my profile in India as I have had no luck so far and at the moment I only have the budget to see out this year and need to find funding for next year.

Any advice on who to contact etc would be great!

I hope I haven't broken any forum rules here.

Cyrus there are 2 rounds left at Thruxton followed by Silverstone with the BTCC.

Good luck on your races. I think if you have good results, the publicity follows. It also helps if you have good contacts even if you don't have the results ( ala Karun Chandok ). Here's wishing you all the best.
