Automission Motorsport brings you the first Autocross of 2012 - on Sunday 22nd January.

Differences this time:

• 8am start on Sunday morning
• Different categories for modified cars (apparently, rally tyres are also considered a modification?)
• Longer track (?)
• The chance of additional laps due to more daylight
• Pricing changes for 4x4s and late fees

Cost :

• 4x4s : Rs. 2,500 (or Rs. 5,000 for late entry)
• Cars : Rs. 2,000 (or Rs. 4,500 for late entry)

Entries are limited to 10 Vehicles per class.

Closing of Standard Entries : Thursday 19th January @ 5PM
Closing of Late Entries : Friday, 20th January @ 12 PM

Payments may be made at the following locations:

1. Automission Motorsport, Khalapur
2. #4 Gulab 14/B, Carter Road, Bandra (W), Mumbai

Documentation Required At Time Of Entry:

1. Vehicle registration book with tax paid up to date
2. FMSCI Competition license of driver and entrant (available at the spot)
3. Driving license of the driver
4. Blood group certificate of driver
5. FMSCI Medical certificate
6. Vehicle Insurance
7. Authority Letter from registered owner of competing vehicle (if other than entrant) permitting use of the vehicle for the event
8. Driver’s Accident policy with hospitalisation of minimum Rs.50,000/= (recommended)
9. Consent of parent / guarding of driver, if below 18 years of age
10. Signature of entrant and driver on entry form
11. 4 Stamp size photographs

I'm flying back from the Auto Expo on the 7th night.... hoping i can make this event, but will only confirm later!

Questions :
- HOW MANY LAPS are we getting??
- Is it the same track? An all new track? Or both combined?
- Is the $$ for lunch extra? And what price?
- What time is the event scheduled to end
- Will you have timing equipment / what?

Rehaan, We must get 1 practice and 2 timed laps. It should be the same track with a lil bit added to it. Lunch for the driver and 1 assistant should be included in the entry fee, additional guests should be charged at say 750/1000 per head depending on the spread offered. Event should be started early and finished 30minutes before sunset. Timing should be with stop watch (at start and finish and mean time taken to remove the positioning errors) and the clerks decision should be binding.
Hope the organisers look and consider these suggestions/demands.
All in All its a Fun event, Kudos to Pradeep for all the work they put in. Pradeep is on his toes for 5 days preceding the event. He sure needs some help by way of volunteers to run the event, and Maybe Team-bhp can help this cause. I am sure there are enough enthusiasts who would seriously volunteer for the saturday and sunday.
I was told they spent 50k on the trophies for the Christmas event, Maybe a certificate and cash makes more sense.

Answers:

- We are planning a two lap run this time.
- We have added a few new sectors to the track. New track length is 1.6km.
- Entry fee includes food coupon for Entrant Only.
- Event is scheduled to run from 8am to 3pm.
- We have ordered the 1 Stage Rally Timing Equipment. We hope to receive the same in time for this event, else we will have to run the event on stopwatches.

All decisions will be finalized on the day of the event, following affirmation from the Stewards.

I've just sent in my entry for the event.

Spoke to Prajyot and he stressed on the point that we have to reach the venue before 8 so that they can start the event early. I'm hoping we get more than 2 laps (maybe one untimed practice and two timed laps as scooby suggested?).

Also, if we have guests who want to attend, any idea what are the food coupon charges for them?

Food Coupon will be Individually priced depending on the food item.

Also there is a slight error in my previous post:

DATE CHANGE (again) :

Twin City Motorsports Club, Mumbai is organizing a Drag event "Drag Warrior" at Kharghar, Mumbai. Hence we are postponing our event to a new date.
The Autocross 2012 will be now held on Sunday 22nd January 2012. Apart from the change of date; venue, schedule and flow of the event will remain the same.

First post of this thread has been updated to reflect the change.

^ Yep visitors are allowed.

If you plan to eat, you'll have to pay for lunch.

As for a fee to just visit -- i don't think there is one for this event, but automission can confirm.
