Speed run Chennai

Can some one update me on the next track event at Chennai? Is there any website I can track for continous info on the events. Some one from Chennai, please help

Well i think the speedrun to be held at chennai and delhi has been cancelled ..

If ur referring to the track day events that happen at the Sri. Perambadur Race track then its a long wait .. Summer heat is sinking in , so the wait could be all the way till august ?!

maybe 1 track day in summer. but most likely next track day will be in august or september after the whole track is re-surfaced and some minor changes are made to the layout.

I got info from MMSC that some spectator events are scheduled for 15&16th April 29&30 April and 1&2 June. These are for the big boys like JK and TVS

I am gonna be there to watch them.

Yes , that would be the FISSME , LGB and the esteem saloon championships over those dates ..

Sawan , whats the update on the training course u guys were planning ???

When is the re-surfacing happening? Before or after the FISSME rookie cup season.

do these MMSC guys have a website ? could not find one on google.
just to know the events planned for the year.
Or could we join a mailing list or something to which they send out event details ?

But the track days will not be mentioned here.Check with sideways for that. Speed run is not in chennai now. but confirmed in Bangalore. Call me at 9841282837 for details or check elsewhere in this portal.

JK Tyres Racing Cup is on 15&16 April (Round 1) and also 29&30 April (round 2). I will be a spectator at all these events.

Maybe we can meet.

Though I would like to race during the speedruns, do not have the heart to subject my car to the torture. :-) Maybe one day will do it on the FISSME.
I will try to make it on the 15th or 16th if possible. If so, we could meet.
BTW, the track is on the Chennai - Kancheepuram route, right ? Somewhere near Sriperumbudur, if I am right.

Me too a spectator now. Earlier used to do some chota mota racing. Not anymore. (My wife will slice me). MMSC track is bang opposite Hyundai factory after pleasant days hotel. Abt 30kms from City. Do call me if you come over.

Thanks for the directions - I will find it. My coming over would depend on whether my wife accepts to be at a race-track on a weekend. I hope she does. :-)
Any idea about the race timings ?

Hey...... How do you know I am from kerala? I am from Kottayam - Land of rubber. But kinda settled here.

And you from kerala too? Keralites have always enjoyes automobiles, but sad we dont have many race drivers from kerala. There were a few people in the past. I guess there is some people like siby maliakal, george of MRF etc
