Hey Team-BHP Members! I'd like to use this platform to introduce our Team with the hope that we can get some help as well as help a lot of people on this forum.

G.M.M was started by a few drivers with the main objective to race while helping people who share the same passion as us as well as to help who ever we can outside of racing.

The Team currently consists of four drivers;

Sujayeendra Laxman - IJTC Esteem
Rahul Sharan - Toyota Etios Motor Racing Championship
Deepak Paul Chinnappa - Formula LGB Swift
Suhail Sabharwal - Formula LGB Swift

The four of us have started this team together with the help of a few more people who help us manage and run the team. We currently have Pooja Arjun who helps with the design of our merchandise, stickers and also plays an important role in managing our drivers and running the team. Along with Pooja, We've also got on board Elister Fernandes who helps her with the same so that we divide the work load between the two.

Team Gas Monkey Motorsports believes in helping those who need us the most and we have tied up with a few NGO's and Charities such as U&I and a percentage of our prize money will be donated to these causes to help Children in need and Old age homes, blind schools etc. Along with this we also provide space on all our cars and gear for these charities so that we can help create awareness and encourage other drivers to help these foundations too.

Racing as we all know is a very expensive sport and we are always on the lookout for sponsors or people to help us achieve what we are out to get and we are also looking for people who think like us who could help the team in any way they are interested.

We also look to get more drivers and grow extensively so that we have a couple of entrees in each category there is to offer.
The future holds plans for us to start a race school and help others around us who are interested to race get in on the action and fulfill their dreams as well.

So far we were successful in getting ourselves a sponsor for round 2 of the MMSC FMSCI National Racing Championship that was held on the 26th - 28th of July 2013. Adverb Media and advertising India Pvt. Ltd. and KNS Institute of Technology were willing enough to help us through the 2nd round of this event and we hope to go forward into the season with them.

We'd be really happy to gain your support if not anything else in this new quest of ours and look forward to all your help, inputs, advice and guidance for the same.

Team G.M.M's first ever race weekend as a team was a success with 5 podiums in total.
Unfortunately we were not able to get our IJTC Esteem Driven by Sujayeendra Laxman ready in time for the race and had to drop out last minute.

Rahul Sharan performed extremely well in the Toyota EMR with a best finish of 7th Place. The reverse grid format got him sitting on p2 for the third race but unfortunately the race was red flagged due to rains.

In the Formula LGB Swift category Deepak Paul Chinnappa bagged an impressive THREE second place finished out of three races putting him on the podium in all three races while Suhail Sabharwal finished right behind him in third place in race 1 and race 3 of the weekend and seventh in race 2 due to a racing incident as well as a faulty gear box.

All in all FIVE Podiums for G.M.M in round 2 of the MMSC FMSCI National Racing Championship held in Chennai on the MMSC Track on July 26th - 27th.

Hey Guys

G.M.M Is back after our second ever round as a team in the MMSC FMSCI National Racing Championship and we've been successful once again in getting what we set out to achieve.

In the Fomula LGB 4 / Swift Category Gas monkey Took Pole and P2 in our class ( Swift ) :

Pole - Deepak Paul Chinappa
P2 - Suhail Sabharwal

In Race 1, we managed to hold our positions and finished 1 - 2 boosting our points in the championship.

Race 2 saw us start in 5th and 6th position ( Reverse grid of the top 6 ) and we fought our way to the front with Myself ( Suhail Sabharwal ) finishing in First and Deepak Chinappa finishing second!

The grid for race 3 was based on our second best qualifying time on friday putting Deepak on Pole and myself ( Suhail Sabharwal ) in second.
After a tough battle to hold my position I was taken out on C1 of the MMST in lap 3 and rejoined last ( 17th ). I managed to fight my way through to end up finishing 5th while Deepak battled it out in front and managed to finish first again!

Once again, we've come back with 5 podiums in the FLGBS Category and have made a lot of points this weekend.

In the IJTC Category, Sujayeendra drove our Esteem in his First ever race. He qualified at the back of the grid due to his lack of experience and a stock ECU we were running due to a failure in our race prep one. After some dedicated driving and concentration, Sujayeendra improved on his time by a lot. Race 1 gave him a little more confidence in his driving and the car and he knocked off 5 seconds from his qualifying time. Race 2 saw him drop down another 5 seconds and got his blood pumping even harder. In Race 3, a bit off this blood pumping lead to a crash in C1 ending his race however, this did not keep us from being proud of his improvements and the excitement and energy in Suj even after this was at an all time high. We look forward to seeing him improve even more and get on par with the other drivers in no time and will continue supporting him and seeing him through this.

So here's the race report for the final round of the MMSC FMSCI MRF National Racing Championship for the year 2013!

After a lot of anticipation and excitement, Team Gas Monkey Motorsports entered into the final round of the championship holding top position in the team standings and Our Driver Deepak Paul Chinnappa held 1st in the championship with a lead of 30 Points While Myself Suhail Sabharwal stood 4th close to 10 points behind the driver in 3rd in the Formula LGB 4 / Swift category.

Here's a race by race Account of the Final Round

Qualifying - Team G.M.M managed to set some good times around MMSC and stole P1 and P2 for Race 1 and 3.

Race 1 - G.M.M Drivers Deepak Chinnappa and Suhail Sabharwal finished 1st and 2nd respectively.

Race 2 - The grid for race 2 was the reverse of the top 4 from race 1, putting G.M.M in 3rd and 4th. After a good start , both our drivers managed to make a position each and Suhail Sabharwal finished in 2nd while Deepak Chinnappa finished 3rd.

Race 3 - The grid for race 3 was based upon the second fastest time set during qualifying. G.M.M started P1 and P2 once again for this race and after following the safety car for majority of the race Suhail Sabharwal finished in 2nd again making it THREE 2nd place finishes out of three races and Deepak Chinnappa finished in 3rd again.

Over all - "G.M.M Serviced by Anish Racing" finished 1st in the Team Championship standings and beat the team in second by more than 200 points.

In the Driver Championship standings, Deepak Chinnappa finished 1st with 200+ Points overall and Suhail Sabharwal finished 3rd with 150+ Points overall making it 1 & 3 in the championship standings for us and 1st in the team standings allowing us to dominate in the formula LGB 2013 season which happens to be our first year together as a team.

We'd like to thank all those that helped us and supported us, all our families and friends and Team BHP especially for all the support!!!!

Gas Monkey Motorsports introduces G.M.M RACE SCHOOL !

Registrations are now open for our 2 day training program in Bangalore ( November 2nd and 3rd )

Drivers will be trained by G.M.M National Championship Drivers for level 1 - kart control and maneuvers in 7 / 9 HP Karts.

All drivers will receive detailed progress reports upon completion as well as G.M.M Merchandise.

G.M.M is proud to announce the completion of our batch 1 level 1 training in Bangalore.

Over a two day program our team drivers trained and guided participants in a basic level one - safety and track rules course.

Unfortunately, we had to decline registration from one driver due to his young age ( 5 years ) as his capacity to learn and understand would not be able to cope up with the training program therefore not bringing in enough improvement and disappointing his parents, so we asked them to bring him back when he is a bit older and we can give them their money's worth.

As for our drivers that did take part, Kunal Vinod, a 7 year old star took almost 5 seconds off his regular time after just day 1 of training and even went on to set the fastest time in a junior kart at the circuit! Congratulations Kunal and we hope to see you at Level 2 and soon in the National Championship !

Yohaan Kuruvilla, our 21 year old trainee driver, managed to bring his previous time Down by about 4 seconds and made major improvements in his driving technique. A little more practice and training and we hope to see him in the seat of a formula LGB soon!

G.M.M is looking to host our 2nd batch early in January 2014 and this time we are planning on having a level 1 and level 2 training program.

Also, We are in the process of starting a full fledged racing team and will be adding drivers to or team in 2/4 stroke karting as well as saloon / super saloon and formula lgb categories.

Domestic Track experience drives

We hope to see as many people interested in motorsports join us in promoting the sport and our basic aim is to find and promote new talent that will represent not just us but also the country in events such as the karting world finals, Rotax max championships, National championships as well as other races that will bring in experience and awareness.

Thank you so much ispoke! It really means alot to us that we actually have people who appreciate our efforts in promoting motorsports as a " SPORT " and not " ENTERTAINMENT " as described by some of our politicians.
