Ditto Rehaan.. Missed last year but attended the previous two. Wonderful experience. Hey Mods, can we have the team-bhp cars flagged off together or maybe something of the sort?

Numbers are alloted based on when the drivers show up on the day before the rally, for the pairing with their navigators & the trial run.

If BHPians show up on time, we can all gather together and approach the desk/get in line at the same time, and we'll all have similar numbers.

My registration speed-post has reached the organizer as well. I look forward to seeing you all at my first in person meet with TEAM-BHP! Hoping that last moment office projects do not end up in a no-show.

I would have loved to participate, but have to give it a miss this year due to my B-I-L's marriage on the same date. Don't want to risk my life missing this marriage.

Pairings next Saturday at 3pm. Please be on time. First timers, there's a small practice run which you should take with your navigator. Absolutely important!

Met Aditya and Dippy among the other TBHPians. Sorry I couldn't meet you all up. Completed two trial runs since my navigator is participating for the first time. Dippy was the happiest driver today as he skipped the trial run and was very peaceful. Both he and his navigator arw veterans of many rallies and both skipped this exercise. Lucky pair!

The final was better than yesterday's trial. Though I missed last two TC's it was an engaging and memorable drive indeed.

Thanks GTO for your message to Mumbai team-bhpians! And all the participants of this thread as well, without this thread I would have missed opportunity to take part.

Kiran Hegde won the lucky draw! Beginner's luck as it was his first time participating.
It was a fun event. We missed very early on, caught up and again missed the Bombay Gymkhana point. That was the killer. We spent a good fifteen minutes working out the best way to get back on track.
The Eastern Freeway was a superb experience.
It also underscores some important points about the car. The idea of a single display showing the odometer and the trip meter in the same location at the click of a button is a bad idea in such conditions. Analog displays are much better IMO.
Also I suspect something is wrong with the Nano's tripmeter. Both in the trial run and in the rally the trip meter consistently showed lesser distances. After three years I know the tulips are accurate. So it must be the trip meter. How do I know for sure?
I haven't checked the odometer yet for correctness. Maybe next time I refuel I need to use the GPS and My Tracks to check if these meters are good.
This meter fiasco forced me to judge the approximate distances so hopefully my estimation skills have improved.
