Toyota Etios Motor Racing: Season 2

Toyota Kirloskar Motors is geared up to kick start the 2014 season for the Etios Motor Racing Trophy.

The second season will have new and existing drivers battle for the title in this one make championship on the 19th and 20th of July at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, this time around. Last year the Etios Motor Racing season resulted in Diljith as its premier champion with Akhil Rabindra and Varun Anekar finishing in 2nd and 3rd place respectively, held at the Buddha International Circuit.

Etios Motor Racing is a single make championship organised by Toyota Racing Development. This series includes 25 drivers racing their production versions of the Etios albeit stripped down, with modifications to the intake, exhaust and suspension systems, tuned by Red Rooster Racing (International) Pvt Ltd under the expertise of former rally and racing champion Leelakrishnan.

The EMR cars will be displayed at select dealerships in Kerala and contest winners shall win a chance to experience these vehicles on the track.

The Indian Motorsport scene finally seems to be catching the attention of automobile giants to help young Indian talent enhance their skills and gain a competitive advantage to pursue their career in motorsports.
