hi WRX,
its nice to have an ex rallyist here. can you please share your rallying experiences of those days . also some phot graphs would be good.

Well i hope for the sake of the JK shod Gypsy's that they can now run the tyres that JK has developed for the lancer, im guessing those are 15" and will work on the gypsy. As Sanket pointed out dirt tyres do make a huge difference in the handling and im not surprised that the Tornado runners were feeling green! I used yokohama's dirts once which were great but i believe you can't run imported tyres anymore.
Well as regards experiences I'm sure i have a lot of stories... My favorate event is definately the raid-de-himalaya, competed in it thrice once in a gypsy and twice in an esteem! Event's a true challenge in terms of driving skill, car preparation and self endurance. I'v moved to the US so don'nt have many photo's, I will try and get some one to scan some and then I'l post them.

There are nice 'airborne' shots of our fellow Team-BHPian Sanket in there as well.

Slipstream had a team of Photographers on the day of the rally, all clad in nice blue t-shirts and equipped with some real high end digital slrs.

Exploits are many not just K - 1000 1997! Every year gets better. Just that you miss all of them.
