Kevin Schwantz is coming to India!

Former Moto GP champion Kevin Schwantz will be coming to India. The legendary racer is coming on September 26 on account of the Suzuki Gixxer cup finale at the Buddh International Circuit.

Schwantz was offered a position on the Suzuki team in the AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) national series after a test ride with Yoshimura Suzuki in 1984. After winning the AMA’s season opening Daytona 200 in 1988, Schwantz was promoted to Suzuki’s 500cc Grand Prix team full time. In 1993, he won the 500cc Grand Prix World Championship with Team Suzuki. In the course of his career, Schwantz won 25 Grand Prix races, set 21 lap records and achieved 29 pole positions.

He was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999 and also named Grand Prix “Legend” by the Federation of International Motorcycling (FIM) in the year 2000.
