It sad that the organisers aren't providing enough transport support for the participants' cars this time? It seems to be a paltry 10k for the privateer southies. and due to this the rent of the RSC esteem has gone up by 30k. Yes ! it is 80,000 rupees for the Chandigarh event . plus the KONIs et al.
Very very discouraging. Is there a way out?

I'm sure they have tried their best to provide as much support as possible. At the end of it, they have tight budgets just like the drivers and are doing this solely because they love the sport, not as a business venture.

If only the corporates would give us a mere 5% of what they spend on cricket!!

yeah, I too wish that the corporates help this sport.

I heard, for quite some time, MRF has been taking care of the transport for all private participants, through the respective event organisers. But for some reason , in this event they have reduced their "burden" and has come forth with the "gift" of Rs 2 lakhs which is to be distributed amongst the first 20 private entries from the south. That no doubt is a big gesture from MRF. and without the support of MRF and the likes, this sport would have perished a long time ago!!!! What say???
And i know whatever bit of money that is sprayed into this sport now is all just out of sheer enthusiasm and love for motorsports than for any commercial gains of these enthusiasts. May God Almighty bless them for this.

But lots need to be done for popularising this sport. the corporates would que up to spend once Rallying is popular among the masses and can give them the required exposure and visibility.

Let us put in our ideas and suggestions on this- To Poularise Rallying in India.
