| Raid-de-Himalaya winner arrested for theft ... Guys, Yogesh Lakhani who stood 3rd in this years Raid-De-Himalaya Rally may have beaten the treacherous terrain, the extreme weather conditions , the sheer drops to come 3rd but on arriving back to his hometown Chandigarh yesterday he was arrested bu the Chandigarh Police for dealing in stolen bikes for the past few years .  He and his friends used to steal bikes and then put fake number plates etc at the workshop owned by him . The police stumbled onto him by mistake when they arrested one of his friends on suspicion and he blurted out the entire details ... Maybe he shud have stayed up in the mountains with his trophy .... | Senior - BHPian  | This chap's all over TV now & his champion status is being used to the hilt! He was just interviewed by Aaj Tak and very proudly stated that he had come 2nd in the Indian bikes category & 3rd overall. Seems he stole high-end bikes including a Karizma and CBZ & then modified them for rallying purposes & in the process the bike was no longer recognisable. And hats off to Aaj Tak the buggers are using the Dhoom soundtrack with footage from the Dakar being played in fast forward  |
