2016 Raid de Himalaya called off after fatal motorcycle crash

This is tragic news for all motorsport brethren.

The 18th Raid De Himalaya, which was underway for the past 3 days has been called off after Subhamoy Paul, who was taking part in the Moto-Quads Xtreme category crashed fatally at the Kaza Gramphoo circuit.

R.I.P.

Mr Subhamoy Paul, aged 49, was riding a KTM 500 EXC and was a veteran in this field of motorsport.

Quite shocking news this is. His death was tragic and sudden. May his soul rest in peace.

We met Paul Subhamoy after Rohtang top(Gramphu Side) during our Oct 2016 Leh trip.Date 08/10/2016.

There was one Raid competitor standing there, we stopped and asked "all well?" he said "oh yes " with a big smile. I wished him all the best and kept moving.
