Same car was 800cc about two weeks back (acc to owner), so either it put on weight or somebody did a real quick engine swap:

Pics!!

Guys!! Put the confusion to rest. It's the Alto with a 796cc engine!! I had said about it clearly on the first report after the race on page2 of this same thread. Check here:http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motor-...tml#post355209
The engine swap job after the accident didn't come out right (as I wanted), so, we dropped the plan and the same original engine was put back in. It had a K&N extreme filter and Automech 3-1 headers. It was registered as a modified car due to that reason.
We had planned to put my newly purchased (Used car) Alto 1.1 for this race!! But later, we decided to stick with this old car itself. Alto 1.1 is getting prepared for something!!! WAIT and SEE!!!!

The organisers made sure we don't feel homesick!!

At the start line is a car from our category. Yes, a modded Zen. The sound was great. But, we were ahead of it. !!

That's a good corner!! Car was on 3 wheels at every corner!! Shall we call it an Alto or Auto??

The Marshals are all eyes at the raised wheel and praying not to hit any of those cans. (They had to run around putting it up if down). Each fallen can also invited a 1 sec penalty!!

Lined up and waiting to get on the track. Behind is HariSingh (INRC driver) wishing good luck and boosting the confidence levels of novice drivers. That helped me a lot!!!

One of the best handling cars of the day!! It had a fully modded suspension with Eibach springs and the works!!!

EDIT: I can't get the video files on to Rapidshare. It contains the spectacular eyecandy demo drive by Gaurav Gill!! I thought I will not post about it and just let you guys see the video and decide for yourself.
Nay.... Rapidshare broke ma plans!!

Random pics!

Jerish is disappointed after his first DNF. He drove excellent in his next round and came 3rd in his category.

Toothy time!!! Nash and Max caught with their mouths open!!!

V1p3r is all devastated after his 4th place finish! He gulped down his favorite thirst quencher (PePsi) down by gallons and then, this happened!! One cup is still left in front of him.

Hey come on!! TV star!!!

Smile!! Now, you're on TV!!!

Pete's Skoda RS has been sold. His other cars were there driven by different drivers. That EIBACHed Accent and the big hearted Zen steel etc.. are from his arsenal.

I am very impressed by the painful efforts he makes for events like these. KUDOS Turboindia!! Keep up the good work.
P.S. We all loved the banners of our very own Team-BHP!!

The weekend was really fun. A big thank you to all the TBHPians, Nikkibike, artofzen, kphilip, maxbhp, jerish666, turboindia, and I'm sorry if I missed anyone out. Biggest thanks to Mr Speedzak, who lived upto his nick and came 2nd.

The event was well organised. Congrats to Jerish and Zak for their podium finishes. Me, I need to eat more...

Competition Results

Thanks guys for all the pics and info; especially kphilip for the photo album. Does anyone have the published results/ timings for *all* categories? A url should help everyone.

Congrats Zak and Jerish. What were your timings like? And who came first? Timings of all the podium finishes will be interesting.

And good to see the smallest engine in the country being pushed to the hilt.
