It was explained in SDP's report. The Ameo Cup has a DCT box. The clutch is only used to engage the gearbox from rest. After that, the pedal has no use!

Why is the Ameo Cup - a one make, one series affair?

VW have been trying to get other manufacturers in involved. They invited every manufacturer to spend time wih them during the races in order to seed a Touring Car type series. Only Toyota took up the offer and tried the Etios cup for one season.

VW are quite miffed especially when the second largest manufacturer is just across the road from the MMSC track and the other two big manufacturers are in the same city

They are still busy counting money raked in from India with one of their products.
