Way back in 2003, Northern Motorsport Desert Storm put its first step into the undulating dunes of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan. The race back then consisted of Xtreme format, where man and machine were tested to limits and one has to cover the stages in fastest time.

Northern Motorsport Desert Storm continues to be the longest cross country rally in India and the toughest in the desert as competitors battle extreme weather conditions, navigation takes a key role owing to the terrain. The 7-day long rally covers picturesque untouched dunes, Dhanis (traditional villages of Rajasthan).

The dates of Desert Storm 2019 are changed due to General Elections. The 2019 edition of the Desert Storm is being rescheduled to 6~11 May.

Aabhishek Mishra, Adrian Metge and Ankur Chauhan emerge champions.

the three champions – Mishra, Metge and Chauhan – and other podium finishers, category winners and special award winners, were felicitated at a glittering prize distribution ceremony at the Jaisalmer Marriott Resorts & Spa late in the evening.

Among the key awards won, the Team Trophy (Xtreme Category) went to Team Army Adventure Wing, Team Trophy (Moto) to TVS Racing, Team Trophy (Ndure) to Team Army Adventure Wing. The Coupe des Dames (Best Female Contender) Awards were claimed by Khyati Mody in the Xtreme category, Aishwarya Pissay in the Moto category and to Capt. Abhilasha Singh in the Ndure category.
