Which car is this???

Any pictures of the stock scooby which RT drove? Is that scooby05's car?

Hi Guys,

Very nice write up there Mclaren. Sad to hear about what you went through. Even I had a bad time at the run with 2 very bad launches and 3rd gear problems. On day 1 I had a ET of 16.6xx and on day 2 it was 16.722 which was not bad considering I had trouble shifting into 3rd gear. I had to double clutch on both days to get the car into 3rd thanks to the stupid short shifter which came with car(installed by the previous owner). Anyways I will only blame myself and not any circumstances for not performing.

I think with some launch practice and gear shift sorted out I dont see any reason why I should not reach the 15's timing unless I have some bad luck. Please remember I had not removed a single thing from my car including the spare tyre. If you use the car in its daily setup with all gadgets installed like the heavy duty ICE, two coats of sound damping sheets, broader low profile wheels, stock seats, stock block any car would be a bit slower than the rest.

Viper, I didn't get you. the engine pic is of the black scoobly is it? Or the car which RT drove?

I only see pics of the black team dragstar Satans_enemy scooby with the blue roll cage and 172 car number.

Hi,

The engine pic I think is of the Black Scooby. RT drove the white scooby.

My fair guess at the moment is that the probs started enroute from Pune where you refuelled to 91 and the Water temp switch, the 97 at Bombay did help a bit that's all. The craziest thing was that Speed 97 could also be adultrated... I remember testing the car with 97 octane in Bangalore and had no knocking at all and we can just thank our stars that we did not go higher on the compression as it was orignally planned.

My car managed really well using standard Shell Super Unleaded and was working fine till 10 PSI without a prob, just had to drop boost due to a bad fuel pump.

And yes it is easy for one to stand back and say the car was not tuned properly but do realise even the best tuned cars this time ran into severe troubles due to the excesive heat...

.. Well Said !!! Lets just look at the positives that came out of this Speed Run instead of laughing at cars .... the best of tuners with the best of cars can also have a NO SHOW !

Motorsports , like RT said is all about getting together and having fun . Lets keep it at that , PLEASE

yes, exactly...any vids of the white scooby! Need to see the launches so I can learn from them! I used all my battery power on the others grrrrr.......
